Helpful, Caring, all around good company 8/13/2010

Another company installed my air conditioner less than a year ago and it never worked. The other company was at my house no less than 10 times but never solved the problem. Wahl came out and discovered that the original company didn't install the job correctly!! They worked with Trane and Home Depot to cover the changes under warranty, I paid NOTHING. My unit has worked great ever since. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this company. more

Expensive and Charges for Problems They Don't Fix 6/24/2010

I was very disappointed with Wahl when it appears from their website that, as a family business, they actually care about their customers and their work product. They don't. It took them THREE VISITS and $800 in labor and parts to determine that they couldn't fix my problem and I needed a new air conditioner and furnace. I paid that money thinking it would fix my problem. They wouldn't refund my money, but offered to credit only $500 toward a new system. The bidder seemed annoyed when we told him we would think about it. Sure enough, our other bidder provided us with a bid almost $1,000 less for the comparable Lennox version of the tax qualifying system for furnace and air conditioner. Worst of all, when I wrote a letter complaining, they wrote back with no apology and relied on misstatements of their inexperienced technician. Moreover, when we wrote another letter and made a phone call, they didn't respond and wouldn't even work with me for a compromise when I paid $800 for a problem they didn't fix. DO NOT USE THEM!! Pros: None. Cons: Won't work with you if you have a complaint. more

They are just trying to get your money!!!! 5/6/2010

This place is a total rip off! They tried to get me to get so much work done, when it was unnecessary. Our problem seemed simple: water was no longer draining from AC. Seems like a clog, right? No, these bozos tell me that it is an inherent defect in my drip pan and draining system, all of which would cost $1100 to replace. Then, they say what I really need to do is to replace the entire system for $4500 - an 8 year old system!!!! Are you crazy? On top of that, they tried to convince me that it was in my best interest to get the service plan they offer, since it wouldn't really cost more that way. Well, they must have thought I just fell off the turnip truck. I called for a second opinion from a different company, and - lo and behold - they found it to be a simple clog.....works great now (and I saved over $900). Avoid these guys.... Pros: They were on time Cons: They tried to claim we needed a lot more work than we did more

Wahl not as expected 11/2/2009

Did not have a good experience with Wahl Heating. First of all, they do not act the part of professionals. Service is second rate. Then, the extreme prices they attempt to charge are just over the top!! If you asked me I?d say ?STAY AWAY!!!? There are plenty of other good heating and coolong guys out there. Red Carpet service was a breath of fresh air!! 10/10/2008

Wahl Heating and Cooling has been our HVAC service provider for years and we've always had good service. This year however, they added to their services and upgraded their customer service changing our good service to great!! Their technician was very friendly and professional. He used a red work mat at the front door (thus the ""red carpet"" service) and wore shoe covers to protect our home. He was very thorough during our tuneup even checking our smoke detectors to ensure the batteries were working!! I was pleasantly surprised with the changes and have been recommending Wahl to friends and family!! They aren't the cheapest but they are reasonably priced and well worth it for the service and piece of mind. I will use them for years to come. Pros: Very thorough....clean....and professional Cons: They aren't the cheapest...but you get what you pay for more
