He cares about the animals 7/9/2010

Both Eddie & Christa did all they could to assist me & make my cat ""Charlie Tunt"" feel at home. I will always bring my cats to Wags 2 Whiskers. Also the price is reasonable. If the owner Abraham is flexible about the money - he cares about the welfare of the animals.? more

DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR ANIMALS!!!!!!!!! 5/20/2009

I have sent my dog Maltese there on two separate occasions. The first time I had no problems but it was only for two days. However the second time was very unpleasant. When I came to pick up Teddy he was very thin like he not not eaten in days. When I brought him home he was choking like he could not breathe. About 20 mins later I noticed that he had diareaha . Also he was vomitting. Teddy was over a year old at that time and had never been sick. I could give him any treats/ diet and he never got sick. Right away I called the owner, Dawn. She acted all concerned and I asked her if they switched his food or something. She would not take any blame and said he was perfectly fine when he was there. That is immposible since he was sick from the moment that I picked him up. Dawn admitted that they gave Teddy wet food without my permission. To make a long story short I had to take him to the emergency room at pay about $600. Also I had to boil chicken and potatoes for him for about a month. I called Dawn and asked her for a refund and she said no that it had nothing to do with them. I think they are just trying to make money and obviously don't care about the animals!!!! That is wrong. Cons: my dog came home very ill more

Really great experience 5/20/2009

Wags 2 Whiskers won us over. My dog had never been to the groomers nor a doggy day camp before. They treated her like royalty. She looks and smells beautiful. They really care about the dogs. Pros: Great customer service & Grooming more

One-star Raters Probably Treat Their Animals like Humans 12/24/2007

I have been a customer of Wags to Whiskers for nearly 5 years. I have two very expensive rare-breed dogs who love intermingling with other dogs. If you want your dog to stay shiny and clean for 7 days, please take your dog to a caged kennel. They will stay clean and away from other dogs. If you treat your dog like a human and want 1 on 1 human attention and five walks a day, then hire a dog sitter or a dog walker to come to your home. This place is for people who realize dogs are dogs and will get messy and play and tumble around and can get along with others. I talke my dogs up to 6 times a year for extended stay due to my travel schedule and they have come out alive, flealess, dieaseless, albeit doggone tired and maybe a scrape here or there- BUT THEY ARE DOGS. All of you one-star people should seriously consider taking a course on the difference between humans and animals and consider taking your dog to a caged kennel or your vet's office. I'm sure your little bundle of love will enjoy their 3 walks a day from a nice tiny crate. Pros: convienence Cons: a cage free dog kennel is a cage free dog kennel! more

A Very Dangerous Place - Don't Trust Your Pet to These People 11/27/2007

We brought our dog here for 7 nights of boarding. When we picked him up he was badly injured. They never called us and didn't even mention it to us when we got there. He had several large puncture wounds on him. They played it off like it was nothing. Cons: Dangerous conditions, neglect of animals, rude staff more

If you care about your pet then AVOID this place 10/2/2007

I have dropped my Shar-pei off at this place two times. The first time was for four days. I paid for him to have two walks per day at $5 a piece. My dog WILL NOT use the bathroom indoors or on the cement. He will only use the bathroom on a walk! The flooring in this place is as cement. When I picked him up I noticed that he was miserable. Happy to see me but very dosile and seemed confused. He smelled like urine and had constant discharge coming from both of his eyes (which he didn't have prior to entering the facility). When his stay was overwith as soon as I walked him out of the facility he had to use the bathroom so bad as if he hadn't gone in days. My reaction this time was that he maybe was just so unhappy there that he wasn't using the bathroom. WRONG!!! more

UNSANITARY KENNEL / STAY AWAY!! COULD HURT YOUR PET!!! 8/27/2007

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET TO THIS PLACE!! First off it is in an industrial area in Culver City and not a very nice (crime) area, basically four indoor cement play areas separated by a chain linked fence, where the dogs live. No real ventilation or any sanitary place for the dogs to do their business. Was not able to see this area when I dropped off my pet. They make you wait in the small front lobby while they take your pet in the back, only saw this on the video cameras when we picked him up behind the front desk. Left my Beautiful, Healthy, Happy, 10 and a 1/2 month old Golden Retriever for 1 week with this place. When we got him back he was soooo sick and nasty that we had to make sure people know about this place!! His coats was stained with filth and grim, he smelt like heavy cleaning solvent and urine. He had heavy sores on his legs and stomach, from having to lay on concrete all day and night. Later when we got home, we found out that he had kennel cough and have had several high vet bills curing it and he still has heavy scaring of the lungs from it. If you love your animal, please do not take you pet to this place! It is scary what happened to him. Have contacted them about this and they don't care!! Just say he is the first to get sick and that they are sorry!! If you love your animal and want the best for him ""STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE""!!! Pros: NOTHING Cons: UNSANITARY, SCARY, more

Great place for cats too! 1/19/2007

We were lucky enough to find From Wags2Whiskers, and luckier still that it was just down the street from the recording studio where I was playing a session the day we needed to board our two cats while our apartment got exterminated, and ended up being next door to a convenient rehearsal studio also....By now you must be asking, ""so what the bleep does this have to do with anything?!"" Well for starters, it's a convenient location for busy musicians, their hours were convenient, especially concerning the awkward, last-minute time frame when we needed to put the kitties in daycare for several hours. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. I didn't know what to expect when I dashed out of the recording session to pick them up at closing time (they hung out in the studio for the remainder of the session!), but they were freshly bathed, flea-treated, got manicures, and were content as could be! The person who checked us out said they'd had a great time playing with other cats and the people there (in addition to getting everything done that we had asked for). The price seemed pretty reasonable too. I would not hesitate to have Gureyo and Jaco stay there again. Pros: We (including the cats) loved this place! Cons: Didn't see any. more

I am really Jealous of my dog. I hope my hotel is as wonderful! 11/22/2006

I took my dog to From Wags2 Whiskers to check out the place so my dog could go to their day care and board when I go out of town. Well, forget get her, I want to stay there! It's cleaner than some human hotels where I have stayed. They have and A Rating from the Inspector(like in Restraunts) The staff or Team Members are nicer than most at human hotels. The place is beautiful! Lit with Sky lights, Grooming Salon, , lots of playtime?! Indoor Dog Park ?!! This place has it all and it for my DOG!!! I actually feel good about leaving her there, and wish I could stay there with her. The only thing I can say is, when I die I hope I come back as a dog at From Wags 2 Whiskers Pros: great service, clean and friendly staff. My dog loves it. Cons: That I can't stay there too! more

The best place in town, A+ Service and lots of love for the dogs, my dog has never been happier 11/22/2006

Wow, I love this place. The staff is great and my dog starts to get excited when we turn the corner to get there. I have to say, I was really scared at first to leave my dog in any boarding situation but just seeing how happy my dog is, makes me soo happy. He loves to play with the other dogs and the people who work there always have a snack ready for him. They are soo wonderful. I recommend you go to From Wags 2 Whiskers over any place in town. I checked out alot of places before I finally decide were to go. Some places were fancier but this mom and Pop shop had the pet love I want for my dog. Pros: Totally love everything, just the kind of place you want your dog to go to. Cons: None that I can think of more

We love this place and highly recommend them A+++ 11/21/2006

I am shocked to hear anything negative about this establishment. I work alot and my dogs go to From Wags 2 Whiskers everyday from 7am-7pm so I deal with the staff eveyday and I can't say enough good things about them. They help find homes for rescues and I personally rescued one of my dogs from them. The owner is a fair, hardworking, honest dog loving women and I don't think there is anywhere in town that could compare to the love that they give to my darling dogs. I thank god everyday that I found From Wags 2 Whiskers and I don't know how I would do life without them. I have referred several of my friends to them and they have all had a delightful experience and continue to every time they return Pros: Wonderful Place just ooozzzing with love for the dogs Cons: I can't think of one more

From Wags 2 Whiskers is the best place to bring your dog 11/21/2006

I don't know what you are talking about but I have been brining my dogs here for 3 years and it is the best place that I have found. My dogs come home happy and loved. I highly recommend this place. I would not trust anyone else with my babies. The staff is amazing and the place is very clean. It feels like home. Pros: Big dog lovers, dogs get lots of attention Cons: Only street parking but they do curb side pick up and that helps more

Less than great experience 8/29/2006

I checked this place out before hand and the employees seemed kind and pleasant, and the place relatively clean and organized (a little smelly but not abnormally so for a kennel). They wouldn't let me go see the area where the dogs were kept (I understand this is standard policy at most places) but they showed me on a b&w monitor the dogs in a large area. The dogs looked happy (i.e. tails wagging, friendly play). They assured me that someone was there WITH THE DOGS at all times (not just watching on a monitor). This was important to me b/c my dog, while she gets along fine with other dogs, is a people dog and gets nervous without people around. more

Waste of Time 6/21/2006

I selected this place because they are one of the few that shave cats and it was on my way to work, thinking I could save some time. WRONG!! This place was the biggest waste of time ever. I brought him down on the day of the appointment and the groomer was MIA. After about 20 minutes of wasted time, the girl at the front got a hold of the groomer only to learn that she does not shave cats. The woman that normally shaves cats called in sick but no one bothered to tell me because ""it's not their policy."" After that, the girl told me there was nothing she could do. I had to make a u-turn and drive all the way back home and was late to work. What a waste!! Cons: no customer services, no communication and no groomer present on site more
