Best breakfast in Pinecrest area with great service. Met the owner on last weekend. My family and I stopped in for breakfast and he made it a point to come to the table and make sure we were having a great experience at Wagons. more

I loved my waitress at Wagon West - she had a strong Brooklyn accent, the cutest personality, great jokes, and she made some fantastic recommendations, one of which was the Crab Cake Benedict I had - it was delish!\r \r The coffee here leaves something to be desired. more

In that tongue-in-cheek blog, "Stuff White People Like", one of the best entries is that of getting up at ungodly hours on a Sunday morning, and waiting forever for a really good Sunday breakfast. Wagon's West could've been on their mind when they wrote that, as crowds seem to snake around for blocks as one waits for a table at this no-frills, working class diner.\r \r I go there for lunch, and whilst crowded too, you can easily hop on the lunch counter and be served smoking hot food cooked in front of you.\r \r Even with a Thousand Island (not Russian dressing) Reuben sandwich, this version knocks the socks off of any other restaurant's, being unrepentantly high-caloried. The waitresses seem to be transplants mostly from New York and Jersey, a mixture of rude and ready. Think Soup Nazi, but wearing eyeliner.\r \r Despite the fact that Wagon's West is not the cheapest place of its kind, and service can be spotty, just how many mom-and-pop diners are out there, especially in Pinecrest? Come before Denny's and IHOP stomp them all out. more

Excellent breakfast and good lunch sandwiches. 10/25/2006

Still the best breakfast in town. Lots of food for a modest price. Walter, however, needs to curtail his temper as it has, on occasion, cast a pall over the place. Pros: Breakfast and lunch Cons: Noise, parking and the wait more
