Have been boarding my dogs at this establishment for over 13 years and would use no one else. Living in Sumter, I travel over an hour but it is worth the drive to know my dogs are well cared for when I am away. more

Wag-N-Train Kennel 3/29/2012

March 29th. 2012 The Best Kennel in Columbia/ Irmo. We live in Columbia and used several Kennels before a friend told us about Mike and Wag-N-Train. We have boarded our Lab-Mix Millie with Mike on several occasions. The Kennel is exceptionally clean and safe. Mike is very caring and knowledgeable for all pets. We highly recommend Mike and Wag-N-Train Kennel to all who want the best care for their family pets Charles and Judy Lamar more

Highly Recommended 5/31/2011

We highly recommend Mike's Wag-N-Train Kennel. We originally started bringing our Walker Hound to Wag-N-Train because of their reasonable boarding rates, but as we get to know Mike (the owner) more we realize that his kennel has been his Labor of Love. We can tell that he truly loves what he does and we feel confident in his caretaking abilities with our four-legged family member. It's a very personally run kennel. more

Best Kennel in Columbia/Irmo 4/30/2011

Mike has always cared for Ginger like she was he own. He takes great pains to make sure that she has all of her shots, he is very knowledgeable about her care and is very helpful in sharing any insight. On a recent boarding visit, Ginger had a hotspot on her hindquarters. Mike was concerned that she was allergic to a new dogfood, so he gave me a sample of food since we had been out of town and had not been able to purchase anything different. We have always been pleased with our service. It's a great place to board your dog. more

Great Kennel! 4/13/2011

Because my husband is in the military I have literally boarded my three dogs all over the country- and Mike runs one of the best facilities I have seen. While the building is no frills, it has everything my babies could want - HUGE runs, a nice outdoor play pen, music on all day, fans to keep things cool, and an excellent caregiver in Mike. It is obvious after only a few minutes of speaking with him - that he really is an expert in this field and truly loves working with dogs. This was all very much confirmed when I returned to pick up my dogs the next day - I have a yorkie who is hateful and horrible to almost everyone - she hates grooming/boarding and usually when I pick her up she is literally fighting to get back to me - I talked to Mike for a good five minutes while she calmly sat in his arms. I have NEVER seen her like this after boarding before. Highly Recommend! more

Very Highly Recommended! 4/8/2011

I can not say enough nice things about Mike, his staff and his facilities. I took a tour in Feb. and boarded my dog in early April, 2011. I was very impressed! My dog had a bath, a very shiny coat and was very docile and happy when I took him home. I appreciate all the 'extra' tips that Mike gives me when I ask advice on training, etc. He is an 'expert' -- and goes out of his way to be helpful. Mike let my dog socialize and play with other dogs and that means alot to me -- as he is the 'only child' and does not get much interaction with other dogs. I will definately use Wag-n-train Kennel again should I need it. I would highly recommend this facility -- Mike takes very good care of the animals, I would not leave my dog with just any one. We LOVE the ""Doggie-spa"" 1/28/2011

We LOVE Wag-n-train. We have been boarding our dogs there for at least 8 years and Mike treats them as if they are his own family. We live on the opposite side of town and drive 20-30 minutes to drop them off and pick them up. All because it's worth it. The facilities are great and I know my babies are in good hands while we are away. more

Wag-n-Train - Great Facility 1/27/2011

Although I live completely the opposite side of town and there are a ton of boarding places much closer, I've tried a number of them and was never very happy, and now I will only board my dogs at Wag-N-Train. The facility itself is in a great location, it's extremely clean, the runs for the dogs are huge and there's a a good sized exercise area and the price is great too. My dogs are always happy to be there and come back in great condition. The care provided by Mike is exceptional, you can tell he knows his stuff and is genuinely concerned about the dogs welfare. I have no concerns about leaving my precious babies in his care. I cannot recommend Wag-n-Train highly enough, board your dogs there, you'll be more than happy when you do. more

Wag-N-Train 12/24/2010

My wife and I have been using the Wag-N-Train kennel since 1996. Mike has taken care of 5 of our dogs (over the years) and usually 3 dogs at a time. Our experience has been uniformly excellent. The dogs don't mind going, they always come back in great shape and Mike, the owner, is extremely competent and at ease around our animals. Even after we moved to another part of Columbia we continue to use Wag-N-Train even though there are a number of kennels that are closer to us. We've tried the others and feel that Mike runs one of the cleanest, nicest and best maintained kennels in Columbia. We would highly recommend him without reservation. more

My family has been taking our dogs here for many years. I now take my current dog, Cody here when I need to go out of town. I know that I can trust Mike and his staff to take excellent care of my dog. more

MIke runs an outstanding kennel! I have never trusted anyone but close friends and family to care for my dogs while I was away, until I found MIke through a friend. MIke's professionalism, cleanliness of his property, attention to detail on shot records and caring nature, of both animals and people, said it all in the first meeting! My dogs always seem so well rested and content when I pick them up, almost like they're the ones that have been on the vacation! Prices are very resonable as well. I tell everyone I know about Wag-N-Train. If you choose Wag-N-Train for your next vacation, you will never even consider using another kennel, I promise! more
