Vosco Moving

I had a GREAT experience with Vosco Moving this past weekend. It started last month, when I first contacted them about the move. Andrea was extremely quick to respond to all my communications, and was terrific to work with. Answered all my questions and even offered to store a few extra boxes I thought I might have, at no charge. Really a pleasure to work with and very, very easy to book.\r \r Then came the day of my move. The movers called to say they were on their way and was I ready, which was nice. They arrived on time (a little early even) and they were super fast and efficient. They had the truck packed up with my stuff within an hour. All in all, I paid for three hours of moving at an EXTREMELY reasonable rate. It wasn't a whole lot more than what I paid to rent a truck and move myself two years ago, and a lot easier. Also, I have a ton of breakable stuff and they were really careful, and as far as I can tell nothing was broken or damaged. Jon and James were great and it was really just a good experience from beginning to end.\r \r Definitely recommend! more

I appreciate the wonderful job done by Vosco Moving Austin that helped me shift my huge home from Dallas to Galveston. I could not have imagined doing the entire job of unpacking on my own, as this process normally takes ages, with many packs usually left unopened even months after the move. But these super-talented professionals did it all in a day, helped place the furniture at the right locations, unpacked everything from the smallest to the biggest, and even cleaned the place. I was very happy with their move. I hired Vosco at the very last minute and they were very accommodating. They moved my 1 bedroom apt and the price was reasonable. We were really pleased with their efficiency and professionalism, we hired them for another move from Killeen to Austin for the next day and they were more than happy to do that too. During moves accidents unforeseen always happen and I had a piece of furniture that the elevator scratched. So they even sent over someone to repair it. I definitely recommend them. more

I hired Vosco to move our 3 bdrm apt from North Austin to Central Austin and couldn't be more pleased with their service. A professional and friendly 3 man team arrived on time and proceeded to quickly load our stuff into the truck. They carefully wrapped our furniture, and even helped disconnect the washer/dryer and prep it for transport. On the other end they unloaded quickly and placed items where ever we requested, including moving the washing machine up a ridiculously narrow two landing staircase. I had zero issues and would recommend you consider them if you need a mover. The rates are very reasonable and you get piece of mind with using a responsible moving company, not just some guys off craigslist. more

My email about my move: “Well, to be honest, we're not totally thrilled with how everything went at all.  Our movers were supposed to be there at 9:30am and did not arrive until 2:00pm.   I understand that you were waiting on the trailer to tow our car and that there was a problem that you considered outside of your control.  However, looking at the situation objectively, it seems like there were many alternatives to being so late.  Couldn't you have brought the moving truck to our house and started loading at 9:30am then allowed someone else to bring the trailer later?  Was there no other trailer anywhere else in Austin that you could have used? Also, I was a little shocked about the attitude regarding being so late.  At first, when I called, mostly you talked about how frustrating it was for you to wait.  Well, it was very frustrating for us, and you didn't acknowledge that until I pointed it out.  It's your responsibility to get the trailer and be there on time.  When all of this was happening, you would think that there would be profuse apologies, not statements about how hard this would be on your guys (the movers).  Your moving guys also didn't apologize when they arrived. Once I complained, a free hotel was offered, but that really didn't mean much.  We had planned to leave Bastrop around 1pm at the latest and then drive to Borger, staying at a hotel room there over night.  As we weren't even able to start driving until 5pm, that plan became impossible.  We would not have reached Borger until 3am at the absolute earliest, and that would be without stopping at all (placing true arrival time a little closer to 4am).  So, we decided to stop in Childress instead.  That meant canceling our hotel in Borger at the last minute, which meant losing about $100 (last minute cancellations means the hotel still collects the fee).  So, our "free" hotel basically just replaced the money that we lost by having to cancel our original hotel in Borger. Had we been able to leave Bastrop around 1pm as planned, we would have arrived in Borger at 12am, allowing us a full night's rest before meeting our landlord at 8:30am and allowing the movers in at 9am.  Instead, my husband and I did not arrive in Childress until 2am, with a 2.5hr drive ahead of us the next day.  This was hugely problematic for me.  Originally, we should have been waking up in Borger on Friday.  I had planned on this for several reasons, including a scheduled time to meet our landlord.  Oh, yeah, and signing paperwork for my job, which started Monday.  I had to reschedule with everyone.   Even though it was basically your company's fault, your movers were reluctant to change the original planned time to start unloading into our new house.  We went to sleep in Childress at 3am and woke up at 9am, leaving at 10:30am.  Your movers left sooner than that.  Luckily, our landlord agreed to meet them at the house and let them in ahead of us.  When we got to the house, approximately 1.5hrs after the movers, they were finishing up with the unpacking. I will say, both times, the movers were very fast with the loading and unloading and were polite.  Of course, in their rush, they did break the glass cover on one of our tables.  We were told that we could go out, buy a new piece of glass, and then send you the bill, which we haven't quite had the time to do yet.  Really, I have to say my primary complaint is that when we got to our new house, our stuff was absolutely everywhere with no logical reasoning.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I though most movers will put your refrigerator in your kitchen, not leave it in your garage.  There's a lot of stuff in our garage that obviously doesn't go there that we now have to move into our house.  Boxes clearly marked "plates" were in the bedrooms. ..." more

Vosco Moving recently moved me. The guys arrived on time (actually a few minutes early) and took care of everything. These guys had given me a moving quote (perfect and within my budget). You do get what you pay for. With some of the moving companies you never know if you can trust them not to help themselves to some of your goods along the way. more

I was very pleased with the service. I have expensive furniture and piano, they did a great job. The Piano was tricky to get down from my 3rd floor walk up apt but they made everything look simple and easy. Price was exactly what they quoted me and done in less time. more

Vosco Moving was terrific! They did a good job on everything. The only problem was that I thought some of the packing was a little slower than we had anticipated. Part of that was because one of the guys was ill at the time. I appreciated them being so thorough, but it took a lot longer than what was originally anticipated. We weren't all the way packed when Vosco Moving got here, but they were patient with us and loaded up what they could on the trucks while we finished packing. We got started with the move at about 10 o'clock, I guess, and by the time they finished unloading the trucks it was 11:00 at night. These guys were professional, hardworking, and polite. Overall, it was a great experience. more

During end of June I shifted to my new apartment in Hutto from Round Rock.though the distance is 9.1 mi by US-79 N move had me worried at first, but as soon as the movers got to work all my nerves were put to rest. All of the movers worked very, very hard. I I would like to thank everyone involved in helping make the move as easy and pain-free as it was. more

I have used Vosco Moving for a total of 4 corporate moves within the past 3 years. They have never disappointed me. My most recent move was last Monday, 7/4. The workers (specially Joe) were friendly, efficient and helpful. They took great care with my things and worked very quick, the cost of move was within my budget. I always rely on Vosco Moving and will never use another movers in Austin. Thanks again for making moving as pleasant as it could be! more
