Worst place ever , they let My Cat go home with hypothermia after we paid for an er visit . The manager Erin Lies when things go bad more

Do not go to this veterinary medical center believing your pet will be receiving the very best of care and attention. Most of the veterinarians on ER call appear to be right out of veterinary school. The primary respiratory specialist Dr. Sean Hillock couldn’t find the time to see my dog who was admitted to the emergency room with breathing difficulties. This in itself is a violation of the PMVE. Instead of doing his job, Dr. Sean Hillock pawned off his responsibilities to the ER vet on call, who doesn't have the same expertise to treat animals with respiratory disorders. I wasn't informed until late in the day that Dr. Sean Hillock would not be personally treating my dog, long after my dog had already admitted into the hospital earlier in the day. The ER vet told me that my dog would be in the hospital four days, but they discharged him only after 3 days stay. He relapsed 48 hrs after his being discharged and was readmitted to VMCLI. He died while under VMCLI's care. All I got from VMCLI is heartache and a large medical bill. more

If you have injured wildlife think twice before bringing in here! I brought a pigeon in thinking the vets will treat it like a pet as it’s a friendly bird that visits my yard daily. They had me sign wildlife paperwork and then tell me they don’t accept payment, and basically then take ownership of the animal and your rights to know what happens to it. Wildlife goes to Volunteers For Wildlife, but VMCLI claims you cannot ask them for updates on how the animal is doing and they won’t release the animal back where it came from, when infact I have friends that personally bought wildlife and birds into Volunteer For Wildlife clinic and got updates on the health and they even released the animal back to original area once healed if safe for the animal. I’m disabled and could not get to Volunteers For Wildlife clinic myself to drop this bird off and I thought I could trust VMCLI with this bird because no other place was local for me to get to. I spoke the receptionist at the front counter and was told to call the night I dropped the pigeon off to have them leave a note that when VFW picks it up next day they have my context info. When I called that night asking this they were saying they had no note about this and gave me a hard time basically refusing to comply and leave my contact information. The staff seems like they are disorganized and if they can’t do something so simple I can only imagine how people’s pets could be in danger from mix ups or inaccurate information. I’ve had 3 birds die bringing them here, I refuse to ever use this place again. I found a much better place for helping pigeons where I can pay and claim ownership and they won’t steal the animal and keep me in the dark about it’s health. more

I had to bring my cat Molly yesterday for an emergency visit when her back legs collapsed. She is 18 years old and I knew it was time. Dr. Scaglione and the staff were absolutely wonderful. They were compassionate and caring and made the process less traumatic. I had some alone time holding and hugging Molly before I had to say goodbye which meant alot. Thank you all for being so kind. more

The manager Erin lies to customers on yelp and never calls them Back . They are negligent , they can’t even take a cats temp in an emergency visit . They give sub par care . They sent my cat home with hypothermia . What kind of ER DOES THAT ? She ended up dying a horrible Death . And Erin doesn’t care one bit . They are on organize their billing system is wrong they overcharge you never called back they are all around horrible more

We brought our dog to VMCLI because he could not breathe. They brought him in right away to give him oxygen. We were told he would get a chest x-ray to assess his condition. They were very quick to collect $600 before any services were rendered and we were then left to wait for six hours without any other care being rendered to my pet. When I asked the front desk staff they were rude and dismissive. I inquired if he had his x-ray (after 5 hours) and was told "Nope". My dog then went into cardiac arrest and could not be saved. It was only after this, that the staff became concerned and compassionate, when it was already too late. The following Monday I called Erin, the "customer service manager" (had to call twice since she did not return my first call) to voice my concerns. She said that she would email the attending staff and get back to me. She never did and I had to call her twice the following week. I trusted this facility to care for my pet and not let him languish alone in a cage for six hours. I will never step foot in this facility or recommend them to anyone. more

vmcliARS I cant believe this hospital gets away with what they do. Bottom line is besides missing my cats temp (hypothermia) on xmas eve, when we brought her back the next day and came back a few hours later she looked DEAD ina cage, no heat on her freezing cold, we asked dr BRO*KE if it was her cat would she put her to sleep, she said YES she would that our cat was brain dead and she did not even understand the blood results. With a heavies heart we said ok, she looked DEAD. we paid extra for a sedative that is supposed to relax them even though she was out of it according to Dr Broo*e.. The dr then puts her to sleep and the cat SCREAMS to my husbands and i horror we thought she was ina coma. We asked her why that happened she said some story about neurological. then they tried to push us right out a back door so nobody saw my tears, meanwhile im handcapped parked by the front door , i have a bill from trixie that shows they charged me for things they didnt do like heat her up. vmcliARS more

After sending my cat home with hypothermia ,The next day we had to bring a back of course she didn’t make it. at that point in all this hospital does is continue to lie, the vet tech Kristin is it’s the most unprofessional vet tech, it’s the most dirtbag place I have ever been to. HEARTLESS. And it happened at xmas , still uncaring , terrible care , Kristin the tech should have let the person that gave her the appetite pill take her temp if she was so afraid of her, and then Eric the manager answers bad reviews with LIES. Your DR said she’d put the cat down so don’t keep lying more

They didn’t pick up on hypothermia they killed my cat when They put her to sleep she screamed we asked the doctor why when we asked for Sedative, she gave us some stupid answer about neurological .. we later found out it meant the needle was not placed good and she felt a burning I called this place for 2 1/2 weeks to ask questions about my cat and to this day they have not responded they just hang up the phone this is the worst place I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here, but they took my money to not treat her . 4 hours later and still not in a warmer . These people don’t respond to consumer .. they ARE INSINCERE , incompetent animals more

this hospital took my cat in and didnt take her temperature and she ended up dying on xmas day from causes due to hypothermia that was prolonged becasue they are idiots that didnt take her temp. all night xmas eve she laid in some serious pain inside and we had no clue, next day we took her back becasue she was worse now falling , and then they took her temp, it was too late,she was in the second stage of hyperthermia , neurological issues, wasnt leaving her to seizure ina cage, so much horrible behavior, too much to type here. if you love your pet DONT go here these people have not called me back since before new years eve when i have been trying to get some answers to what happened , bring to their attention so it doesnt happen again but they DONT CARE, so it doesnt ever happen again. what is an ER visit if you dont take an animals temp????? drive to huntington, got to atlatic coast, i heard plainview is good to but this place is unorganized horror show with no heart or compassion more

I have had ENOUGH disappointment & utter feelings of DISGUST that have occurred from several mistaken visits to VMCLI. It is an Awful, Horrible, Disgusting excuse for a "Practice" - TERRIBLE Doctors who possess INCOMPETENCY at it's most disturbing, nauseating Level - to a point at which I said, "Are you kidding me? This has got to be a JOKE."  The Doctors and Staff have NO knowledge of how to Treat a Client or their Pet.   Prepare to wait a LONG TIME in waiting area & Exam Room before they even come and see you & your Pet, then be treated RUDELY by the Receptionists in Person & over the Phone. The "Assistant" taking initial info in Exam Room, CONSTANTLY interrupts & doesn't really listen. You will wait DAYS for a Call back, if you leave a message for a Dr. ALSO: They are WAAAAY overpriced.  The Fees are ASTRONOMICAL. Prepare to spend your Life Savings here.  It is also VERY Dirty, smelly & hairy.  Doesn't anyone know how to clean at this Place?   The WORST Vet there: DO NOT GO SEE SEAN HILLOCK. He is a COMPLETE, POMPOUS TOOL. Not only does he NOT KNOW enough about certain Medical ISSUES, and SIDE EFFECTS from MEDICATION, he lacks COMMON COURTESY, and BASIC COMMUNICATION SKILLS. He literally DISGUSTS ME & I wouldn't go see him if he were THE LAST VET ON EARTH. They're also a Referral ONLY Based Practice (where you need a Referral from your Pet's regular Vet in order to even get an Appointment-they won't see you otherwise), so you have to pay for a Regular Vet Visit on Top of seeing these Clowns. Obviously, I do NOT recommend. If you go, the JOKE will be on you. Be Warned! Any good Reviews you read anywhere on the Internet, have GOT to be planted by the Staff and/or Owners - Pathetic. more
