Vivace is the best Restaurant in Tucson-no questions about it. We love this place because no matter what we get..it tastes just as good as the first time we had it. Consistency is something Tucson Chefs cannot get right-but at Viviace-its perfect! I love the escargot , it is scrumptious and the stuffed shrimp.Amazing.Then the Osso Bucco Well it is perfect. The service is great too and I cannot say enough good things about this place. Just go and try it-you will be hooked! more

This is the best restaurant ever! 7/17/2010

My husband and I just had dinner here for our 1 yr wedding anniversary, it was awesome, we could not have picked a better place. Very nice atmosphere inside and the landscaping is beautiful outside! Our waiter was very friendly, and both of our meals were amazing! I had a stuffed pork chop and my husband had crab stuffed chicken. The prices are a little on the pricey side, but not too bad. Both of our entrees were under $20. We did make a reservation but not soon enough so the time we wanted was full so we went a little earlier, not really a big deal though. Pros: great good! friendly waiter, owner is very involved Cons: reservations very helpful and must be made far in advance more

Great food but.... 5/17/2010

This is a great restaurant with great food. There is an issue though and I'm not sure if its us or the place. We go there are spend 90-150 dollars for our meal and for us that is a special occasion. It seems that most people who go there its not a special occasion. Some people are dressed to the nines others are slobs in cut-offs and T-shirts and some people bring their babies or young kids (hello ever heard of a baby sitter!). The noise is loud and reminds me of a sports bar, not yelling at a touchdown (not that bad), but the sustained noise level so loud my wife and I can hardly have a conversation. We've been there 5 or 6 times, and we will go again, but just don't plan on an intimate quite evening. Pros: Food Cons: Noise more

High Quality, Moderate Prices 4/10/2008

My wife and I requent Vivace's regularly. The restaurant is always crowded and reservations usually needed. The service is adequet. The bigger the bill the better the service, so order that second bottle of wine. The entrees are wonderful. The Oso Buco is fork tender with wonderful sauce. The crab stuffed shrimp comes with a flavorful rissotto. The molten cake dessert with fresh fruit and gelato is worth the extra wait. Vivace food is heavenly which each bite melting on your tongue!!! It is a little pricey but well worth it!! Pros: very good..never a bad dish Cons: a little pricey you must make reservations in advance more

Always treated like a star! 1/4/2007

NO RACISM!!! this review is partial in respone to the patron that has made outlandish comment about Vivace establishment being unfair because she was a person of color. I being an African american recieved wonderful service when my boyfriend took me there for our anniversary. Being a couple of college kids, we don't usually get paid much mind when we go to nicer establishments, such as Bistro Zin for example. more

Vivace is the best Italian restaurant in Tucson. and quite possibly the best overall restaurant. The food is incredible, and the staff is amazing. I have never had a bad meal, because everything is always so consistent and fesh. more

The service that we were given at Vivace was impeccable and the food was wonderful. I had given up on finding a nice place to eat in Tucson because I had been to so many highly rated restaurants that turned out to be a total dive. This surpassed any expectations that I had. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson. The food was incredible - I had the stuffed shrimp and risotto. The artichoke appetizer was amazing, as well. We also had very good service - even as we waited at the bar for our table! more

Great Food and Great Service 8/5/2002

I've been with all sized groups and the wonderful service has never failed to enhance our pleasure in the incomparably great food and the lovely setting, both inside and out. This is my over-all favorite restaurant in Tucson. I didn't like it in its former setting, but in its new setting in St. Philip's Plaza, there's no place I'd rather go for a celebratory meal. the best!! 7/29/2002

We dined at Vivace on a Saturday night, early.....5:00pm, before a concert we atttended. The food was excellent, some of the best we have ever had. The restaurant is really lovely. And the service was great. I would definitely recommend it to visitors, and couples. I wouldn't recommend it for families, because I am selfish and I would like to enjoy this place without kids. We loved this restaurant and will dine there often!!! more
