Awesome food and service!!! 8/20/2007

Just entering the restaurant, you almost feel like you are walking into your Mexican Auntie's house for some homemade yummy food. Everything that we have had has been prepared fresh, and to our liking!! Joe, the owner, makes sure to make you feel at home, and caters to the customer...A wonderful little place, which is clean, and the prices are excellent! Pros: Parking, prices, service more

\r My foodie brother and I have been looking forward to trying Viva Mexico based on the reviews...alas...yuk. \r \r In the land of bland/americanized Mexican food -- this was not even mediocre. We started with stale chips, tomato paste-ey salsa and pathetic guacamole(under-ripe avocados) ...and moved onto a soggy, tasteless chimichanga and a very unremarkable enchilada. The rice was really tasty, however.\r \r I'm hoping it was merely a bad day, but at $15 each for this lunch -- I won't be going back. Cons: No lunch menu, Very bland food, Stale chips, Slow--even when only 4 customers in restaurant more

The food and service are wonderful. I haven't eaten mexican food this good since I was in Texas. Pros: Great food, Great Service more

This is the ONLY mexican restaurant I go to anymore. I have never been treated so well at any kind of restaurant. The food is WONDERFUL, and it is so worth the drive. I highly recommend this restaurant. Pros: friendly service, good parking, spacious more

This was really the best Mexican food that I have ever tried and I have gone to all of the other Mexican places in the Twin Cities. The food tasted amazing. more
