Extend your pleasant hopping experience! 10/27/2006

As frequenters to the Vanity Fair Outlets, my wife and I get tired of fast food and food court food. Viva offers a quiet and comfortable place to get a wide variety of good food in a relaxed atmosphere with no pressure to vacate the table for more folks - it's big enough to accommodate quit a crowd, but the interior is broken up into ma ny intimate and separate areas. There's even a real fire in the fireplace for those nippy afternoons and evenings! We've even gone there as a destination, with no shopping, occassionally! Friendly and cheerful staff, and now a new tapas menu (go for the five items, and be sure one is the shrimp firecrackers!). Good hopuse wines and a wide variety of mixed drinks (another reviewer had trouble here, but that has not been my experience). Only shortconming is a lack of a website, to see what the daily specials are. Enjoy! Laissez les bons temps rouler (Let the good times roll)! Pros: ambience, locale, cheerful and friendly staff - handicapped-accessable Cons: have to walk around to the friont freom the parking lot (moderately inconvenienet) more

Bit of a Disappointment 2/17/2006

My wife and I enjoy having lunch together on Saturdays, because it's one of the few times we get to spend together relaxing. We came to ViVa and waited in the lounge for what seemed an eternity before someone came and took our drink order after I prompted one of the bartenders. My wife ordered a Brandy Alexander, up, and got what looked like a Manhattan on the rocks. When she mentioned it, the waitress brought back a Brandy Alexander on the rocks, from which my wife fished the ice cubes by hand. When the food finally came, though, it was fine. I guess we'll go back. Pros: Atmosphere, Parking, Food Cons: Slow Service, Careless Service, Smoking more

have eaten hear twice the food is warm at best if its supposed to be hot or cold and the staff is sometimes freindly but most times seems overwhelmed. If they are trying to become a chain they need to get an idea who they are and not try to be everything to everybody. more

Good addition to local scene 5/18/2004

Viva is located in the old Arrow corporate building but is a completely remodeled space. Great selection of live music nearly every night, and I don't know of another place in Berks County that serves wine flights. The wines are noting too unusual, but the prices are fair, and the food menu is broad with snacking and vegetarian choices. The menu and website seem to want badly to be a corporate restaurant, and lord knows that we have enough of those. But Viva is good looking and spacious and a great place to relax after work. Pros: broad wine selection, Live music nightly, Outdoor seating more
