\r Viva, motivated to Fail!\r \r My original intent was to have a tow package installed on a 2011 Traverse. After calling and pricing first, we chose Viva because they were well below their competitors. It turns out its because they only quote parts prices. Asking to have a tow package installed doesn't get any gears turning in their brains. The real price was closer to $550 with labor, which was okay because it was similar to what I had researched and was around what I truely expected to pay. I let the gross pricing error slide and I gave viva the benefit of the doubt. \r \r The tow package was scheduled for a Saturday (it was a 1/2 day job). Three days later on a Monday night I finally got my car back. Service did not call to let us know, but instead allowed us to ""chase"" them via phone. When you finally get Ralph his famous line is ""I was just going to call you."" He wasn't. However, after getting it back I was pleased, briefly.\r \r That weekend I went to a friends house to get my new trailer they had stored while my vehicle was equipped with the tow package. After hooking the trailer up, the electric didn't work. I called several times and was told to bring it back. This time I took it on a Friday. After chasing Ralph down via phone and finding out he was ""just going to call."" We learned they would need to keep the car over night. They had gotten the tow package electric to work, but now the vehicle power wasn't working. Saturday was more of the same and we also attempted to call the service manager. We were told they would need it until Monday. \r \r Monday rolled around and my wife made several calls to the GM and service manager. Ralph finally called us back, neither manager bothered. They said they would need the car over night again. Tuesday came and still no real update. I finally stopped work to call them and said enough is enough. Remove the accessories and refund my money. What happened next was truely remarkable. The staff was finally motivated. \r \r Within 1 hour I was notified my vehicle was ready to pick up. Ralph sounded so happy to tell me. As I was driving to get it after work I go a second call. This time they wanted to know if I would make it by 6pm or if they would need to keep the cashier late. Really? I couldn't get them to call once when I was paying hundreds of dollars, but tell them you don't want to do business and they will jump thru hoops to please you? It's a technique I suppose. \r \r It's fairly obvious to me that the staff do not respect the management at the dealership. And when I see how the management neglects the customers, I can only assume that if they treat the employees the same way, it's a recipe for disaster. I can not believe that the staff are so motivated to watch their leaders fail, yet have no motivation to see the leaders succeed. It's truely a shame that they dealership has such poor leadership and in the end what you have is a bunch of unmotivated people just going to work to make money with no real desire to shine.\r \r Viva, where the management motivates the workers to Fail!\r more

Viva are the biggest crooks around and I should know because I worked as a saleman for them. All the saleman joke about how they like to screw their customers in order to obtain the highest commission possible not to mention they back warranty people's vehicles without telling them. They also say they offer people 100 dollars for referring someone who buys a car and I had numerous people calling saying they never received their money and it had been 6 months since their friend had purchased a car. I finally quit because I was only receiving 100 dollars per car I sold which was completely opposite from what my paperwork I signed upon starting there had said. I'm so glad I left that dealership and now work for a very professional company that prides their selves in providing their customers with satisfactory cars and service. Trust me people Viva is known by all the other dealerships as being snakes! Stay away! more

Worst place I have delt with so far in 5/17/2012

Worst place I have delt with so far in El Paso. I am stationed here in the Army and I am trying to finance a car for the first time. They told me they do financing to help military and for first time buyers. The deal the propsed was about a 26% interest rate. The car was a 2008 Ford Fusion for $13,866 they wanted $419 a month for 60 months. So I would be paying $25,140, almost paying for the car twice. That's the absolute best he could do....I don't have terrible credit, just none established yet. That's the deal they offer a military first time buyer. more

Don't buy from Viva! 10/10/2011

My husband and I recently bought a used car from Viva Chevrolet and have had nothing but trouble with them since signing the contract. They have given us the run around like you wouldn't believe. There was supposed to be a spare key with the car we purchased at the Viva Dodge dealership and we were asked to come back on Monday to retrieve it, we bought the car on Friday. We started the process of trying to get the key Monday at 11 am and they found out there wasn't another key and instead of promptly going to have another key made at a Toyota dealership (we bought a used Toyota from Viva) they waited until 4:30 pm to call Toyota and at which point the service department at Toyota told them it was too late in the day. Finally, at 5:17pm we get a call back from Viva saying they will have the car for another day, after specifically being told we would have our car Monday evening. We will never go back to Viva and suggest you beware as well. The sales manager Robert Herrera did nothing but slow down the process by being lazy about resolving the problem at hand. more

Buyer Beware 8/17/2010

Bought used car. Should have walked away instead of sticking with the process. Entire operation is unprofessional and validated every negative stereotype of car sales. Thought by going to a dealer for a used car I would receive better service. No better than a small time local used car dealer. Recommendation: Get an outside vehicle inspection since dealer inspection is inadequate. Spend hours checking car yourself as dealer will not take care of anything that is wrong when you drive one foot off the lot. Plan on monitoring the process yourself as no one will keep you informed. Dealer is only out to make money and cares nothing about customer satisfaction. more

Victor and Allan were very professional and they understood that I am a single parent and don't make a lot of money. I didn't think I could afford a car and both Victor and Allan made it so that I could afford a car. They didn't force me into anything, they gave me a price and I told them I couldn't afford it..we finally settled on a payment that I would be able to afford. I will probably owe them for the rest of my life, but at least my son and I are in a safe car and I would like to Thank Victor and Allan for considering I am a single parent and knowing I didn't have Angelina Jolie's Bank Account! They Rock! Ask for them! Pros: Very Professional Cons: No Cons more

Great Customer Service 5/19/2010

The VIVA auto team is by far the best in El Paso. Associates were very kind and knowledgeable of their current inventory (even the used cars). The finance team took the time to explain to me everything I would expect in my first car purchase and even got me a really good deal on my used car. Definitely recommend VIVA! Pros: finance team more

Biggest crooks!!!!!! Be careful shopping here! Research first! 11/15/2008

This is by far the worst dealer in the area!! Do your homework before shopping here! They tried cheating us 3 different ways but were busted on the spot! They charged 500 more in our payoff(good thing we knew what it was before going in), told us there was a red tag special on this vehicle only to find out once we were interested, it was no longer on special, and they had the nerve to only give us 10 grand for a vehicle that was valued at OVER 20. Wow! I am so happy we went elsewhere! We did purchase and they lost out b/c of their inability to do business in an honest manner. It is a shame. We all have to make a living....I understand that.......but COME ON!!!! Cheating customers that much. I would be scared to buy from them after this experience. Just be cautious! Cons: extremely dishonest...Know everything before walking in! more
