The people here are the best. Customer service is top shelf. After my blood pressure check, I was told it was high. So I followed up with a doctor visit and now I am on blood pressure medication. Thank you very much! more

I moved away for 7 months recently back home to Chicago and I had taken my daughter to the eye doctor there. There's a big difference in service between here and there. The short time span they spent on her exam. Here with Dr. Ashely has been a great patient, caring experience that we appreciate and thank you. more

Great Place 9/24/2011

I went here for the first time this last week and was very happy with both the service and selection. The eye exam was thorough and the staff was all very nice. I've had trouble in the past finding glasses that I liked elsewhere, but with their large selection of frames I had no problems at all finding a stylish pair. I'll be going there from now on. more

The negative comments here are exactly opposite to my own experience. I just got my second pair of glasses from them (the first was a few years ago) and the selection, the lenses, and above all the customer service was outstanding both times. And to the optician who helped me pick out my frames.... I love, LOVE them. Best frame style I've ever had. My ONLY complaint about the shop is that the lighting is kind of dim. They do need better lights for those blind people like myself who are squinting at the mirrors to see ourselves. more

Great Selection and Service 11/16/2010

I came in for an adjustment on my glasses from another business (since my other optical required an appointment). I was so happy that I found a place open on Saturday! The optician did such a great job getting my glasses to fit, I decided to take a look around. The frame selection was extraordinary! I ended up making an appointment with Dr. Eric Torgerson as I was due for another exam. The doctor saw me on a Saturday afternoon (which was great for me who works Mon-Fri). Dr. Eric was so knowledgeable and explained my vision problems with me so I actually understood them! After the appointment, Dr. Eric personally walked me out to a member of his staff! The staffmember was so kind and welcoming. She also had great style and soon I was trying on a ton of frames. I finally decided on a pair that made me looked better than I have in years. I had all of my lens options explained to me, so I was able to make a decision about what I wanted (and could afford) to have. When this was all done, the lady informed me I could have my glasses that very day! I got my glasses about 45 minutes later and adjusted for me. All in all, on a Saturday afternoon, I got an exam, glasses and a brand new optical! I would never go to any place else. (I am sorry I don't remember the staff members name but her coworkers were really nice to me also when I got their opinions on my glasses!) more

Outstanding Optical 9/16/2009

Good: I have been going to Vision Eyeland for more than 15 years. I have had my eyes examined by both doctors there and have found them to be very thorough and my prescriptions have always been excellent. The frame selection is the best I have ever seen and they are always getting new ones to choose from. The opticians always sit down and talk to me about what lenses are available and let me make my own decisions...they don't just TELL me what I need. I get compliments on my glasses & I can see very well.. Bad: I have never had any problems at all.. Other: Prices are reasonable...I have compared and they are the lowest for equal products.. more
