Vision City

I am at Vision City. I got here at 11 am and I'm still here waiting for a tech that can put the lens in my new glasses. A 1hr service turned into 3 1/2 hrs & counting. :-\ more

So today was my first time going to this doctors office I had been to several others in the area. I arrived for my appointment and was greeted by an extremely nice staff, there were several people in front of us so we had to wait for a minute to be seen but be were taken care of by the friendliest staff first Brooke helped us out with glasses and then Ariel was super sweet and helped us get ready for the eye exam. Then we got to see Dr. Carter who was able to answer all our questions about contacts and eyeglasses and made sure we were taken care of for the contact trying on part she was great!!!!. Then we had the piece de resistance Jerry!!!!! he was amazing!!!! he helped us get the correct pricing he was extremely patient, and he made sure we got in for the same day service even though they were about to close up. and we got the glasses in like 20 mins!!!!! it was the best experience ever in a Dr.s office I will definitely recommend them to people and will be back for my entire family. more

I visited the Vision in Cedar Hill today. I was very impressed with the service i recieved. The Dr. was very helpful in making sure I got the right contacts. She also told me what to expect my vision would be while waring contacts. the staff was also very helpful. The office manager was realy cool she made me feel very comfortable. I recomend Vision City Cedar Hill. more

Went to Vision City today for new glasses and contacts and it was great! Got my glasses back same day! The Staff was super cool and Dr. Carter is so nice and very precise! The manager is the coolest she really rocks!!! Thank you Vision City you are the bomb!!!!!!!!!! more

Today, I arrived onsite at the Vision City store, right off I67 and was helped as soon as I walked in the door.. Jared rocks! I was onsite because I needed to order a replacement pair of computer glasses for my mother. Jared met me at the front counter and immediately began to see to all my needs with a smile on his face! He was friendly, polite, and professional!How refreshing! I definitely recommend this location and Jared! more

stay away from this office - their doctors do an awful job - and then when you realize that their doctor wrote the prescription wrong - they dont care - 30% discount to get new lenses; when it was their doctors fault to begin with - they should fix them at no charge. more

We are new to the area and didn't know where to start on finding affordable eye care. I received a 50% coupon in the mail to Vision City and decided to use it. I got a COMPLETE eye examine for $59.00. They were prompt and courteous. I did get a prescription and decided to check their prices with Target, Costco and LensCrafters. Vision City was very competitive with all of them! more

Made an appointment over the phone, asked -ASKED- if they accepted my insurance and they said yes, then when I get there they tell me they dont. I told him them thats why I asked over the phone..then they have the audacity to tell me ""No, one wouldve told you that."" So I'm lying? At any rate I needed to transfer my prescription and they only authorized two contract lenses to refill because my prescription was about to expire. I've always been able to get a complete box of my prescription as long as its within the year, but I guess not with these guys. more

The Exam sucked but you get what you pay for. The prices for glasses was way too much so I took my prescription somewhere else even though I don't think the Doctor did a good job. Cons: Glasses Overpriced more

I have been to this office 2 times this year, one for the examination which was great - no probs with the doc. The administrative staff however was not so helpful and a little scatterbrained. The initial visit I selected a pair of frames that were 'set aside' for me and had disappeared when I came back to place the order. I was very disappointed because we had spent over an hour selecting the right frames - so time wasted there but eventually on the 2nd trip I was able to find frames that I liked. The initial order for contacts was misplaced so I had to wait longer to receive them - apparently, my folder got misplaced. Ok, so moving on to my re-order for contacts. I called in and placed the re-order being told it would only be 2 weeks...I waited, no phone call so decided to go by the office while I was in the area. No contacts - they were not ordered. While I was waiting at the counter (keep in mind this was a busy Saturday and the waiting area was full) two employees were gossiping about the Office Manager. Sad, that they felt that they could/should be talking about a co-worker with customers around..surely they know better. Ok, back to my original reason for the blog..I finally got a call telling me my order was in and was given a really low price for the refills...I was pleased and said I would be by later that afternoon. I knew I had great vision insurance. I got a call back within 5 minutes and was told that I had been quoted the wrong price. The person calling didn't really know how to read my insurance benefits and why the contacts were so costly. Anyhow, a new person was put on the line and explained that I had used all my insurance in the first order earlier in the year. I wasnt told that I had the one-time discount. I asked about matching a better offer on-line and was assured that VC would match after verifying the source...apparently they 'know the lingo"" of on-line ads and can interpret them better...we will see! Pros: local Cons: frequetn staff turn over more
