Virginia Street Antique Mall

My family has been shopping at this antique store for years, it was recently revealed to us that the Virginia Street Antique Mall lacks any ethical practices nor do they care about their customers\r \r We saw a kitchen island in this store on Friday May 25, 2012. The island was listed at $150 and we felt it was a great deal. We went home for the weekend to measure the kitchen and to make sure it was exactly what we were looking for. When we went back down to the store on Monday May 28, 2012, the prices was bumped up to $325. The time span that lapsed was ONLY 2 days! This is a HUGE mark up. When we questioned huge price mark up, we were told that they would take 20% off for us. We felt this was completely unacceptable. When we questioned further, we were told that they did not believe that this practice was unethical and that it happens all the time. \r \r This store is HIGHLY overpriced and they have little to no customer service nor do they have any sense of retail ethics. more

First let me start by saying im a regular father out with his wife and son on a beautiful Memorial weekend, when we went to this stinky, overpriced craphole of store. I let my son look at a $5.00 comic book and when he finished, I took it back, placed it back in the package, and set it down. When we left the store we were chased down by some old fat man yelling that we stole the comic book! \r \r So, considering we didnt steal anything, this was totally mortifying! What a dump! and to top it all off rude and unethical! more

This is a huge shop that contains many, many different shops all in one building. The variety is good and the quality of the merchandise generally is very good. I think the only drawback is the parking situation. It is sometimes difficult to find a parking place nearby the mall. more
