I recently went there with my son, my family and around 7 or 8 other families for an after graduation dinner. We made reservations for 3:00 pm beforehand and placed our orders for all our food the night before. It was a great idea! The restaurant said they could accommodate all of us and that we would all be seated together in one room. Wow this is going to be great! Well, that is what I thought until we actually got there and all had to stand outside the restaurant and wait for them to clear tables and make some room for us. I believe we were all under the impression we would be having our own private room. Well, they didn't have any chairs at the big table that was set up, and my family of 10 could not sit. They left us standing there, then someone showed us to a room (one room over) that had a big table set up that we could sit at (right next to the bar), then when we all started to sit down they told us to get up and move because that table was for someone else. So we stood waiting AGAIN (with a wheelchair) and were just about ready to give up and go somewhere else (even though my son would have been disappointed not to be with his friends) when they told us we could sit at that table they just kicked us out of. Well, with 3:00 reservations, meals all ordered in advance, we finally saw some appetizers around 4:30pm. Our dinner didn't come until after 5:00 and we didn't get out of the place until almost 6:30pm. It was totally disorganized, a complete disaster! Our waitress was very rarely at our table, the sweet little bartender (JoEllen sp?) was about the only good thing I could say about the whole experience, she was very sweet and very sympathetic, but even her sympathy didn't help us to get good service. The food overall was pretty good, but not really worth the wait. Pros: Parking was limited, but we did find parking. Cons: TERRIBLE wait especially considering reservations were made and food was ordered in advance. more

I have been to Vinny T's numerous times. My favorite part of the experience is the roasted garlic and bread starter. (Free) The main issue that I always run into with most italian restaurants these days is that almost every pasta order has 2-3 actual portions of pasta. That is NOT authentic Italian food. The reason they do this is because Americans feel they are getting their money's worth by getting such a large portion. In actuallity they are getting ripped off. To boil water and throw in some noodles does not take a Chef. Pasta is by far the cheapest food to buy anywhere. When they charge $12-$16 dollars for their pasta meals, its definitly not worth it. I would recommend to stay away from such exaggerated portions and waste of food. The chicken Marsalla was amazing though, as it did not come with pasta! Overall their drinks are done pretty well. If you like wine, try their Wine / Juice mix for a summer treat! Pros: Ambience, Water View, Seating Cons: Slow Service, To much Pasta more

I recently held my husband's vet school graduation dinner at Vinny T.'s in Shrewsbury, MA for 11 people. For convenience, effeciency, and to be cost-savvy, I preordered all the food (appetizers, salads, entrees, sides, and desserts). They were completely accommodating, and everything was fantastic and went smoothly. I choose items from the regular menu that would suit my guest's tastes. The food and service was exceptional; everything was done in a timely manner and will a true smile. Vinny T.s and our server Lindsay made the evening above my expectations! Perfect 10's across the board, BUT, my family and I had an uncomfortable experience while dining here one evening. We were sitting in an area where a new waiter was training. He was obviously very nervous and to top it off, the manager saw no remorse in berating him for his mistakes in front of customers. I was embarrassed for him. The restaraunt mgr needs to improve his communication and employee interaction skills. more
