when i decided to get back into kung fu i decided to come here. first there are no egos, everyone is friendly and willing to answer any and every question that is asked. the fact that Sifu Thomas is present and teaches during classes was a big plus for me. his approach to teaching is that of a father teaching his children. this attitude is imparted to his insructors. the hours and class schedule are convenient. the curriculum is well thought out regardless of what your learning. i have never felt that i was wasting my time. i have even brought my son into the school. every time i go to class i'm reminded of that fact that i made the right decision in join this school. anyone interested in learning traditional martial arts or practical self-defense in a positive environment should visit this school. more

I started doing martial arts because my doctor recommended regular exercise to improve my health. I can't believe how much my health has improved! You never get bored with the drills. SiFu Thomas is aware of the physical strengths and weaknesses of every student and he suggests different exercises to improve on your weakness while further enhancing on your strengths. SiFu explains martial arts concepts very clearly. He uses good humor to correct any drill that we are doing wrong. Everyone in the school is friendly, encouraging and helpful! Being a beginner female student, the friendly school atmosphere certainly makes me look forward to working out regularly. I highly recommend this martial arts school. The Six Harmony Arts Academy was established in 1996 by Sifu (Teacher) Vingrove A. Thomas. The school has previously been known as the Ving Tsun Kung Fu Institute (est. 1986), and as the V.A. Thomas Chinese Martial Arts Association (est. 1991).\r \r The academy's training schedule currently includes classes in Wing Chun Kuen, a southern Chinese self-defense system; in Xinyiquan (Hsing-I Ch'uan), a northern Chinese fighting art; and in Chen-style Taijiquan (T'ai-chi Ch'uan). Kids classes are also offered on Saturdays.\r \r I have been training with Sifu Thomas since 1994.
