Warning if you love your loved ones or merely like the people that need care don't put them here. They are very neglectful. Almost killed my mother from dehydration. and the post may say over a year ago but I am posting 2/8/2014 more

I was very pleasantly surprised when I came to visit my brother, the place smelled amazing when we walked in ( literally smelled like they were baking cookies!!!!) It was really hard for us as a family to put my brother, who is only 30 into a ""nursing home"" however we were positively surprised at every turn. He was in a room with another younger gentleman and both were doing therapy at the same time, it was positive all the way, Al was great working with him the whole time in therapy, just so motivating. They went out and got him magazines around what he liked so when he first arrived he already had something to make him feel at ease. Activities was wonderful, Stephanie was very fun and was great in activities, the food is good but we brought stuff in for him, cant beat homemade:) , we were just overall very happy and would recommend them. more

Fall Festival! 11/21/2011

Villa Las Palmas held a fall festival on Saturday for famliy, residents and the public. My dad is a resident here and he sent us all fliers so we made a day out of it. When we arrived there was live music with an entertaining DJ, a petting zoo, pony rides, lots of games, face painting, balloon animals, food and much more. My kids were having a great time on the bungee run. I couldnt believe that most of the fair was free. a fun day turned out to be an even better day when I ran into family members I havent seen in years. It was like a family reunion for all of us. Many Thanks to Villa las Palmas and their staff. We all had a blast. Hope to go back next year! more

Wonderful Staff!!!! 11/8/2011

My husband was a resident at Villa Las Palmas under hospice. It was a very difficult time for my family and I, but with the help, compassion and support from the staff we all made it through. The nursing staff was always there when we needed anything and took excellent care of my husband of 50 years!! It was very hard to let him go, but I couldnt have done it without the WONDERFUL STAFF at Villa Las Palmas. They will forever hold a dear place in my heart. more

Perfect 4/28/2011

This is a great place, I had a hard time finding somewhere for my mother to go for rehab. I picked this place because the people that work there are all real nice. They care about the patients there. My mother was always cared for and had all her needs met. The nurses there work very hard but at the same time remain friendly and did thier best to make sure all my mothers needs were met. She wanted to go home right after the hospital. but once she got there she was glad she did, they helped her get stronger and made going home much more easier. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good rehab facility. Also the patients that lived there were happy and very well taken care of. more

Wonderful Facility 2/21/2011

I have had my family in a few different local facilities, by far Villa Las Palmas is the best facility we have been in. From the Physical therapy department, which worked with her 7 days a week to the nursing, Christine the charge nurse was always available and helpful they have a wonderful team and I would reccomend anyone to go there. The food was exceptional, the first place we went to that you really got options. more

not a proffesional place 8/1/2009

My mom Patricia Biser died at this facility because she was forced to walk when she told nurses she didnt feel well. She was walking down the hallway to go to her therapy.A nurse turned her back on my mom, ignoring that she didnt feel well, when she turned around my mom was slumped over in her chair.I was told they put her on the floor to do cpr.Instead of the nurses calling 911 they decided to call the primary care doctor while my mom was dying.Ten minutes after that then they decide to call 911.By that time my mom was already dead. She had a heart attack. She was complaining that she didnt feel well, but still staff made her walk.I believe to this day that if the so called caring staff at villas las palmas would have called 911 first my mom would be alive today. They transported my mom while she was alredy dead to the hospital, then she returned back to villas las palmas for the mortiaury to pick her up.Please dont have your loved one ever go to this facility. My mom has fallen several times out of her bed and the so called nurses would tell her she will be ok.That is elder abuse.Your loved ones will never be taken care of at this place. My mom,Patricia Rose Biser is now at peace with my family now.She is home where she is loved.
