Zero stars. Buyers beware! The staff at Viking is horrible at customer service. Twice in three years this store has sent us damaged furniture and failed to replace it in a timely manner. We have tried to resolve the issue of a damaged coffee table recently delivered to us for more than three weeks now to no avail. No one returns our calls and they always have excuses when we have to follow up with them. The sales manager, Dean, actually yelled at my boyfriend on the phone today when we had to call yet again to follow up, and then hung up on him! My boyfriend couldn't get even a word in! I have never worked with a company before that treats customers this way. I called back and asked Marie if I could talk to the owner, John Buchheit, who helped us out with our quality issues three years ago, and she told me he didn't work with that side of the business anymore and we could only work through Dean. I was then put on hold for thirteen minutes waiting for him to come to the phone before I finally hung up. We will NEVER work with this business again. They have an F with the Better Business Bureau, and it is certainly clear why. \r more

Beware. They are no doing high pressure sales techniques and having sales that last months at a time where they actually increase the prices to make it appear as if you are receiving a deal. They are dishonest to their customers and they also take advantage of employees. They are not to be trusted, so if you have a bad experience, don't say you weren't forewarned. more

Viking International has a D- Better Business Bureau rating. I wish that I had checked that out before doing business with this store. Also, read the google review - not a good experience either.\r \r After spending a considerable amount of money and experiencing the worst customer service ever, I can understand why. The furniture that was delivered to my home has 'issues', that a week later, have still not been addressed. I will be filing a complaint with BBB as well. Save yourself the aggravation and shop elsewhere. more

Before making a decision I shopped around - visiting the multiple furniture showrooms in Victor. Viking wasn't the cheapest option, but they offered the best quality and the staff was professional. Never pushy, nor did they hover over me. I HATE that! It was a wonderful experience buying my Natuzzi leather sectional from Viking. I'll def be recommending them to my friends. more

I have been a ""lover"" on European style furniture for many years and Viking fits our needs completely. I found the store beautiful, and even used the Design Service that they offer. Pros: Best Value Cons: It's in Victor! more

A very bad place to shop 12/15/2008

FIrst, it's true that he refunded my deposit, But this was only after I managed to discover his personal cellphone number and call him on it. For the preceding six months, VIking's policy had been that they might or might not ever deliver a couch, and that I would become eligible for a deposit refund only EIGHT YEARS after the initial date of sale. Second, Viking repeatedly promised to call back with status updates and never did; they promised to gather information from the manufacturer and never did; etc. Pros: Good at taking your money Cons: Bad at delivering furniture more

I would like to say the staff at the store are awesome. I feel that Mr.Lanburg's words where very strong and I disagree with his opinion. To call them thiefs is wrong. As that is not how they have stayed in business for over 29 years. My family and I have shopped with them for over 20 years and I do it from Maryland. I will continue to do so and will continue to recommend them to friends and family. They did their best to compensate Mr. Lanburg. I think no matter what they did he would not be happy. We are sorry that Mr. Landsburg's experience at Viking International Furniture was disappointing. The manufacturer in Italy experienced a significant delay in producing and shipping his product. We regret this happened. The manufacturer sent him a letter apologizing and explaining the situation. Viking then gave Mr. Landsburg a 20% discount on his purchase for his inconvenience. Later, he indicated this was not good enough and we in fact refunded Mr. Landsburg's deposit. Viking has sent Mr. Landsburg a $200 gift certificate in the hopes he will visit us again. more

Rude, uncommunicative and dishonest. 9/15/2008

I purchased a couch, for which Viking promised delivery within 12 to 14 weeks (with the possiblity of some delay, in which case they would contact me). It has now been 22 weeks. No contact. Not one of my phone calls has been returned. The sales person I reached a few days ago told me that the order cannot be cancelled under any circumstances, and that it could take them up to *EIGHT YEARS* to fill the order. My only recourse now seems to be to dispute the charge with Visa. Stay far from these people. Cons: They are thieves. more
