We used to come here as a second choice when golden deli is busy but right now it is becoming our first choice. The food is almost equivalent as golden deli but The place is bigger, more comfortable, and the service is better. more

BAD SERVICE! RUDE WAITERS! After they give your order, they don't want to be brothered. 8/23/2008

The Vietnam House food is okay, but their service is HORRIBLE. After they give you your order, they don't want to be brother again. When I asked for more water they never came. After several rounds of flagging down four waiters in a 45 minutes time, we were greeted with looks of disgust and why are you brothering me expressions. After they gave me my water, one of waiter there even stared down at me and said ""Anything else?""in a rude tone of voice. It is the RUDEST restaurant I been to. Don't waste your money here. We come to enjoy, not to be punished by people we are giving our business to. Cons: RUDE STAFF, NO SERVICE more

Good food, good deal 7/8/2006

I have to recommend the rice noodle dish with BBQ beef or BBQ pork. They're thinly sliced strips, seasoned and thrown in with rice vermicelli noodles and mint leaves. (Also comes with a pair of egg rolls.) Very satisfying, but not overly filling. I also had the iced coffee. It takes a while for the coffee to filter into the glass, but when it's done, the beverage is strong and sweet. Prices are reasonable, parking is free. There may be a short wait, and the restaurant closes for about a month during the summer. Pros: Good food, good value more

i have been to this restaurant several times. it is pretty authentic vietnamese, which means great food at a low price, but average service. . .also, there can be a pretty long wait here. which is a good sign b/c a lot of local vietnamese frequent the restaurant. i'm vietnamese and i'd be willing to take my parents here. . .the rice combination dishes are good and what i usually get. . .but i've had the 7 course beef and that's pretty tasty too. . for noodle soups like hu tieu i'd recommend my ngoc restaurant in san gabriel instead. Pros: pretty fast service, authentic, tasty and cheap Cons: long wait more
