Viejas Casino located 30 minutes east of downtown San Diego, CA, reflects an architectural design that acknowledges its origins in Native American soil and takes inspiration from Kumeyaay culture. The gaming facility offers players 2,000 slot machines consisting of a wide variety of popular games featuring traditional coin operated machines and new ticket-in/ticket-out voucher machines. Viejas also offers a 150-seat Off-Track Betting facility, a 1,500-seat Bingo Pavilion and a 700-seat showroom that features national and international entertainment. There are also five restaurants on the grounds along with shopping. more

This a casino that you can bring your whole family to. In addition to the casino, there is a outlet mall across the street. While the children buy clothes and games across there, you can be gambling across the street without worrying about them. There are tons of card tables along with tons of loose slots. Slot range from prenny slots to 5 dollar slots. There are always promotions going on here as well. And they have free self-serve coffee and drinks here. more

a decent casino since vegas is far 10/22/2005

if i need my gambling fix, I'll head over to viejas. its not that great of a casino (maybe that's based on experience at some of the casinos in vegas), but its not too bad. The buffet is decent, but its all the usual food, like peal your own shrimp. wish there were more wheel of fortune quarter slots since those are the best. they've limited the smoking area, so that's great for the non smokers out there. more

Something for everyone 8/12/2005

Viejas is located in Alpine about 20-25 minutes from downtown San Diego. They offer outlet mall shopping, live entertainment and every type of gaming legal in California. Compared to other casino buffet in the area I feel Viejas trumps them all. Always a fresh, quality selection. Getting to Viejas is much easier than other casino in the area, simple shot right out 8 east and follow the signs. Last time we went out we picked up some fresh fruit and avocado on the road side for practically nothing. Highly recommended if you’ve never been. more
