Massive collection, friendly staff, good prices 10/20/2008

Looking for that movie that you haven't seen in years, that flick that was just released on DVD, or that odd cult film that no one seems to have heard of? Videoport has got you covered. When I first visited with my friends, I was blown away by the sheer volume of films available for rental. Though not large in terms of the store's space, Videoport's selection is vast. From foreign films to children's classics, to even a section titled ""Incredibly Strange"", the rental store has many movies to choose from. Being a ""Mystery Science Theater 3000"" fan, I was utterly thrilled to see a whole shelf in the Incredibly Strange section dedicated to the series. No where else have I ever found that many MST3K videos in one area! Many other TV shows (full seasons) can be located in the aisles nearby. Another thing that I found especially nice was the availability of VHSs as well as DVDs. Sometimes it's just nice to pop in a good 'ol VHS and let it roll. Pros: Nice staff, Great selection, Good prices Cons: None more

Eclectic Fantastic NOW WITH BLU-RAYS!!! 7/5/2008

I simply LOVE this Place!!!! Best Selection NOW WITH BLU-RAY RENTAL!!! Best Staff Anywhere PERIOD!!! Free movies everyday with a rent one get one free from different sections each day...My very favorite feature is keeping $$$ on account where if you prepay $30 they actually put $40 in!!! Or pay $20 get $25... That combined with the free DVD each day is just a completely mind blowing Deal Of The Century!!! they are located right next to Anthony's Kitchen which is far better than reviewed here...All reviews sound like written by the same ugly person. But this is a VideoPort review and they ROCK!!! Pros: GREAT STAFF Cons: No Blu Ray Maybe Someday more

BEST selection of movies I have ever seen! 6/24/2008

There is nothing like this store in LA or even in NYC! This place has everything. Gigantic collection of classic and foreign films, a section called Incredibly Strange Films. Tons of Hong Kong, Japanese, and Korean stuff, I even found Aaschi & Sspivak! The entire Criterion Collection for rent in it's own section. Good deals with a free movie evry day, on Friday you can get a free rental with no strings! Nice folks behind the counter, it's the land of the myopic GIANTS! A must see on any visit to Portland. They are located right in the middle of all the happening stuff in Portland's Old Port and Arts District and their building also has one of the best comic book stores I have ever seen, Casablanca Comics, and a good record store, gelateria, and the wildest tattoo place you have ever seen, check it out... Pros: You will never leave empty handed. Cons: Might end up spending your whole day in there! more
