I live very close to this local video store so I always rented from them rather than trying netflix or driving to the other side of town. I like to support the smaller local places.
Well late lat night I rented three movies one that I was very excited to watch. Well to my dismay when I went to watch it the next evening I realized I had the wrong movie.
I figured since the two titles started with the same letter that a staff member may have accidentally place it in the wrong section. Or perhaps a child or even adult that was shopping put it back in the wrong place. Either way it is a short walk so I figured I would just walk down and explain what had happened and they would fix the problem.
Well I was very wrong. When I explained what happen the girl told me that she could not help me. I was shocked to say the least. So I said is there a manager or even an owner around. She told me no but I could come back in the morning. I told her I was not trying to rip them off but I explained what I thought might have happened and that I just wanted to watch my movie. She still told me no. She told me the best she could do would be to put a note in my account. She also told me if I would have called last night then she could have helped me but as I said I rented the moves at 11 pm and did not look at them. I was so very surprised this is some of the worst customer service I have ever had.
In times like this when businesses are going under I would think that businesses would want to keep customers rather than loose them. I will go talk to the manager in the morning and then switch to netflix. If you thinking about renting I would go with Netflix of blockbuster.
Pros: central location
Cons: Bad service
