Very Nice 2/24/2011

It's more of a resort with a hotel rental option. Very nice, simple but accommodating, all rooms with a balcony that (sort-of) faces the ocean. Definitely more than you expect for the price. Private bedroom, adequate bath, cute little kitchen (stocked with dishes, pans, utensils) and dining area. Both bedroom and living room area had TVs. With bunk beds and hide a bed, this room would actually sleep six. Weather did not permit us to use them, but there were two lovely pools. ... more

clean and comfortable 2/15/2011

My family stayed there on labor day 2010 with the kids and enjoyed the condo room 3307 it was decorated nice the decor was tropical flowers the room was clean and comfortable room was at 70 degrees :)) i cant understand the bad reviews !! the pools are clean the hot tubs are clean and hot. they have a great work out facility that i used new equipment they had a treadmill and universal machine with a tv in corner, just a little smaller than im use too. also tennis court looked good didnt bring a racket! they have security from 7pm to7am at the gate one way in and out. i saw them walking around all night. the pool closes at 11 pm. the staff was friendly, maintenance was always around they were acually repairing an a/c unit at 10pm on the roof for a family. all the people we met there enjoyed the place and said it was better than some other galveston hotels they stayed in. the breakfast was sufficient waffles sausage eggs cereal of all kinds they also had bisquits and gravy all kinds of juices and milk and hot coffee. more

Paying more does not mean better 12/23/2007

My husband and I booked the Victorian Condo Hotel for our 2007 Thanksgiving getaway. I choose Victorian Condo Hotel because it has kitchenettes. The room we stayed in was 3317. On first look the room was prefect. That very night we discovered we were wrong the kitchen is painted an awful hot pink which made me feel sick my whole stay. I understand the Condo's are individual owned but I would think the owner would choose natural colors. The owner needs to buy a new bed this one has seen better days. The furniture had tape on it and did not look clean. The first night around midnight a guest or non-guest not sure tried to entry our room w/ their card. Every night after someone was opening our gate and slamming it shut. On our very second day our cards did not work and we had to wait 35mins for the maintenance man to unlock the door. Our food got cold (weather was wet and cold). There were several other things that bothered my husband and me that seem very little to others, cold breakfast every morning we stop going on the third day. Since it was cold we stayed inside, very few channels, no DVD! We are hoping that this feedback helps and change some things onsite. Considering we thought paying more means better. Unfortunately we were wrong. Pros: The Front Office receptionist was really nice and polite Cons: Everything else! more
