My strapless bridesmaid dress needed help. Zula not only made the dress fit better but the dress stayed in place ALL NIGHT! Ladies who have ever worn strapless gowns, you know what a big deal this is! I highly recommed Victoria Alterations. Zula, owner of Victoria Alterations, is not only a seamstress but an actual fashion designer. She's professionally trained and consistently is seen at fashion shows with her line, Zula Studio. With her resume I expected to be paying a little more for her services but she's amazingly reasonable with both time and prices. I've taken her everything from a chiffon bridesmaids dress, to denim jeans, to repair the sleeve of a silk blouse. She is very honest with you in regards to the style, fabric, and your body type and you need that when it comes to your clothing and personal style. I think I had an eye opening experience. Before coming to Zula (the name of the owner) at Victoria Alterations I didn't even know that clothes could fit me the right way. I guess I never looked clean and tailored before. Zula knows every trick of making you look your best in the clothes you buy. She's fast and well priced. Now I have to bring all of my clothes to her, so I can feel my best with the right fit. I highly recomment her. She's the best I've been to. Pros: Fast, perfect, and a master of her craft. more

I trust my clothes to Zula, the owner and tailor at Victoria Alterations on Blanding. She is AWESOME!!! Not only is she a tailor - she went to fashion design school in Moscow! She is highly talented and calling her a tailor is not accurate - she is actually a designer as well and has her own line of couture clothing, I think it's called Zula Studio. Even though she is highly skilIed, I was relieved to find that her fees are fair. I took several business suits as well as some dresses and shirts to Zula to have her tailor them and I couldn't believe the difference in the quality of her work from other tailors I had used in the past. I can be a little picky and somewhat demanding at times and Zula was very accomodating and patient. I expressed some of my concerns to Zula about the way many of my unaltered clothes fit (due to my unique sizing issues) and she knew just what to do to make them look not just good but GREAT on me! This lady is truly talented! Pros: Great accomodating service, and Zula is amazing! Cons: That there's only one Zula. more

Zula, the lady who owns this business, is quick, highly-skilled, and reasonable. I have taken her my wedding dress, another silk sundress, and an evening gown for alteration. She also altered my maid-of-honor's dress. Everything has turned out exactly the way I wanted. She truly understands how things are put together, but also looks at how they look on the individual person - my evening gown was longer in the front when I put it on, so she evened out the hem, rather than hemming the same amount all the way around. She is not the least expensive (or most expensive, either) place for alterations, but when you have something that has to be right, you can trust Zula to deliver exactly what you need.
