Via Bancourier

Driving for Via Bancourier for 14 years, I have seen a very low turn over of drivers. The drivers that get confused of what to do,what is expected or try to get over on the company on pay do not LAST! Their are drivers that have been doing this for 28 years, and the ones that know how to take care of the Customer and represent the company properly do not want to go anywhere else. Via Bancourier works great with the drivers for time off or emergencies and treats us with repect and as adults! Being an independent contractor lets me decide ,not be told on what to do and I know if I have a question there is always someone there to help. I was an employee of Via...I say employee even though they try to say their drivers are independent contractors...because they controll when, where, how, what to wear, and how much you make...they change the drivers invoices and pay what they want and the drivers just have to bend over and take it...they force the drivers to pay for an insurance policy that probably doesn't exist...it was supposedly a work comp insurance...If it was work comp then that means the drivers are employees and If drivers are employees then they should be taking out unemployment taxes...WHICH THEY DONT...Bottom line is Via treats their help like crap and over charges their clients...they are terminating several drivers without a two week notice per our contracts to save money and I gaurantee you they will not be passing that savings on to the customers...Via is the most unorganized courier company I have ever done business with...They will not be in business much longer...They have cut their diver force in half from my understanding in the past year...If you can do business with a different company I would...I would be interested in knowing if rainmanski is affiliated with Via? If I were a betting man!!!...Ok I gave them one star only because this site i needed to rate them...If I could give a negative star I would Pros: will be invetigated and hopefully go out of business Cons: still doing business more
