Great emergency staff, but avoid Dr. Hillock if you use this vet's internal medicine services. I found him to be condescending and generally disinterested in my very sick pet's he...

Dr. Brodsky was very honest about our dog terminal cancer i would use him again...........However we were given two medicines Piroxicam $108 and Misoprostol $136\r upon coming home we looked the meds up and found them at Walmart for $32 and $36\r REALLY!!!!!!! at NO TIME did anyone communicate (you need to re-read your mission statement) that we could have been given the prescriptions to be filled some where else .\r WHY would you take advantage of people with terminally ill pets or any pet owner.\r This is a horrible horrible thing to go through and to be taken advantage of is uncalled for.\r PS. We were there for 2 hours and saw the Dr. for 15 mins. Stressfull to say the least with a pet that just had suregery less than a week ago.\r Hope this helps someone to know that they can get there meds somewhere else and you dont get taken advantage of trying to due the right thing for your pet. more

Don't bother with Dr. Berone. She was rude and never listened to our questions about our dogs seizures. I will never go there again! more

DO NOT GO THERE PLEASE !!! We went there because our cat was vomiting since a few days, she was stressed because we had just moved. We already knew what was wrong, she often vomits due to stess. She just needed an anti-vomiting shot. The blond lady, after examining the cat, took her in the back room for no reason. She came back 15 min later with a bill of $700 dollars (blood test, x-ray and I don't remember what else). We refused and she was trying to make us believe that she ate a piece of plastic or an object. We insisted and finally got a bill of $150 for an anti-vomiting shot. They took the travel bag with them... 30 min after, we still didn't know what was going on with our cat. She was still in the back room. They finally called us so we take her out of the cage because they could not do it... Seems like she bit someone but she never bit someone ever before this. The question is : What is my cat doing in a cage and what did they do to her so she bits someone ?!?! We went in the back room, it was full of cages along the wall. My previous cat was in there terrified, I took her in my arms and they did the anti-vomiting shot which means that she was for aroung 45 minutes for no reason in a cage, when she could have stayed with us. They tried to tell us that it was a big mistake not to pay for all these tests. We took her back home and we realized that she had a claw on her back foot missing and full of blood. What the heck did they do to her ? It has been 5 days. Our cat is not vomiting, she is alright with this issue but she has difficulties to walk because of her missing claw. It is very painful for her and we are going to have to visit another vet for this... That was the worst veterinarian experience that we ever had !!! more

Thank you Dr. Barone, Nicole and everyone of your staff for the love and care you gave to Kira. You guys are absolutely the best we could have asked for. From your front desk staff to the back room techs, you are all amazing. Unfortunately, we lost our Kira. The compassion that was shown at the end will remain with us forever. We love you all! more

AVOID GOING TO VMCLI - TRUST ME 2/14/2014

I have had ENOUGH disappointment & utter feelings of DISGUST that have occurred from several mistaken visits to VMCLI. It is an Awful, Horrible, Disgusting excuse for a "Practice" - TERRIBLE Doctors who possess INCOMPETENCY at it's most disturbing, nauseating Level - to a point at which I said, "Are you kidding me? This has got to be a JOKE."  The Doctors and Staff have NO knowledge of how to Treat a Client or their Pet.  \r \r Prepare to wait a LONG TIME in waiting area & Exam Room before they even come and see you & your Pet, then be treated RUDELY by the Receptionists in Person & over the Phone. The "Assistant" taking initial info in Exam Room, CONSTANTLY interrupts & doesn't really listen. You will wait DAYS for a Call back, if you leave a message for a Dr. ALSO: They are WAAAAY overpriced.  The Fees are ASTRONOMICAL. Prepare to spend your Life Savings here.  It is also VERY Dirty, smelly & hairy.  Doesn't anyone know how to clean at this Place?  \r \r The WORST Vet there: more

I have had ENOUGH disappointment & utter feelings of DISGUST that have occurred from VMCLI & Here is my HONEST Recollection of SEVERAL VISITS to VMCLI: Prepare to wait a LONG TIME in waiting area & Exam Room before they even come and see you & your Pet, be treated RUDELY by the Receptionists in Person & over the Phone. The ""Assistant"" taking initial info in Exam Room, CONSTANTLY interrupts & doesn't really listen. You will wait DAYS for a Call back, if you leave a message for a Dr. OH, and then there's the ASTRONOMICAL FEES. Prepare to pay A LOT. It is SUPER, SUPER EXPENSIVE. I suggest if you do have to go to this unfortunate Practice, and need an Internal Dr., ask for Dr. Fondacaro. (Chief of Staff & the Best Dr. you'll get there) DO NOT GO SEE DR. SEAN HILLOCK. He is a COMPLETE, POMPOUS TOOL. Not only does he NOT KNOW enough about certain Medical ISSUES, and SIDE EFFECTS from MEDICATION, he lacks COMMON COURTESY, and BASIC COMMUNICATION SKILLS. He literally DISGUSTS ME & I wouldn't go see him if he were THE LAST VET ON EARTH. They're also a Referral ONLY Based Practice (where you need a Referral from your Pet's regular Vet in order to even get an Appointment-they won't see you otherwise), so you have to pay for a Regular Vet Visit on Top of seeing these Clowns. I will be searching for a MUCH BETTER place to bring my Pet. I HIGLY suggest you do the same. more

I brought my cat here and was VERY skeptical at first of a feline ophthalmology department. However, Dr. LaCroix is FABULOUS. She is incredibly knowledgeable and caring when it comes to the animals. \r \r My kitten had a lacerated cornea which was incredibly swollen. After a thorough examination the we were given medication and care instructions. There was a chance that the eye would have to be removed, however the least invasive method was tried first. The combination of medication and follow up care worked. The cat's eye healed (not perfectly and am not sure how much vision he has) and three years later he is a healthy active cat. After the care we received we were able to avoid a major and potentially life threatening surgery for a small kitten. \r \r Yes it does cost money to visit this hospital (our total bill with medications was about 1100), however I did not feel like we were being ripped off and that the level of care was appropriate and effective. I would highly recommend this practice. more

I brought my dog there after seizure in the middle of the night. I had no idea what was wrong or what to do the vets there were kind, professional, and took great care of my dog till I could get him to my vet in the morning. I was so pleased with them when a friend had an emergency with her dog I didn't hesitate to recommend this group for emergency care..they were equally pleased and this group saved their dogs life. more

BEWARE 1/20/2014

Initially we were very satisfied with the care our dog with cancer received --- However when the cancer came back the rescue protocal pricing was totally outrageous. Let me give you an example at our regular vet 80 mg Lomustine 51.25 at LIVS 192.00 prednesone 22.00 at regular vet 29.00 at LIVS ---------------\r When questioned I received a bogus answer about supply and demand there is no shortage of either of these easily obtainable medications.\r Icing on cake they knew our dog was having a hard time did I receive a phone call from his oncologist NO!!! more

I have made numerous trips to the VMCL and everytime I have had a great experience. My dog has epilepsy and is treat by Dr. Barone & Dr. William's. They are always available to answer any questions. They always treat our dog right away and we are never left waiting. My dog has also been treated by several other doctor's there, each one is nicer then the last. more
