Verizon Wireless

I was at this store on Wed. Dec 3 around 7 PM to put a phone on my family plan. The tech person was very helpful . told me it would cost $9.99 extra per month (which I had been told before)..but when he handed me the final bill it said total was over $50.which included an ""activation fee"" that nobody ever told me about. When I asked to talk to manager, this large guy (James or Joseph) came behind the counter and was very defensive , telling me ""I should have known this"". I told him several times that I had been in before and nobody ever told me about this $25 charge. He got really assertive then fianlly told me ""HE"" could waive the fee if I signed up for a 1-yr olan ..it was some sort of special"" (though he had NOTHING in writing about it). I did mention I had been with SPRINT for 6 yrs before though their service was poor so I had taken VERIZON about 1 yr ago. I asked why they didn't have phones here that worked like they do in Europe (where you can use any phone in any country)...HE then got abrasive and said, ""they are all government owned over there."" I said, well they work fine but my phone won't work there. I think I said that I lived in Europe before and some government run services are great like the train service in France...just making a comment. This guy bristled up and said"" I am a republican and Proud of my country""..I guess you're not. I almost could not believe my ears. I then said what? and then he was red in the face and I told him he didn't need to tell me HE was a Republican...I could have probably guessed that.... Then he ordered me out of his store. I am a 60 year old, retired teacher. 5 ft tall. This guy was around 6'4 and looming over me. What business does he have being out in the public if he has attitude like this and behaves this way.? I have never been treated like this , in my entire life. Shame on this place for employing such a person! Cons: This man should NOT be in the public more

I go to Verizon Wireless at Ithaca Mall to change my individual plan to family share plan. What I want is the basic plan $69.99 for two lines. The specialist actually set my family plan as $99.99 for two lines per month!! When I found out this I told him to change it. I told him clearly that I want the $69.99 plan, I don't need the $99.99 plan. Then he did something before the computer and told me he already changed it. Then I asked for a formal new receipt. He declined to give me the new receipt, and lied to me that he cannot print the receipt. After that I come back home and checked on the Verizon online account. He didn't change anything for me. It was still a $99.99 plan. He lied to me!!! He is a liar!!! I have to change it back by myself. Shame on Verizon!! Pros: Nothing!!! Cons: They lie to customers!!! more
