6/21/10 I have 3 phones with Verizon - wife & 2 daughters. One of my daughters phones broke the other day and purchased a refurbished phone for her. A few days later, my other daughters phone broke, wanting a similar re-furbished replacement, I called the store. Talked to Matt who informed me that because the phone was ""eligible"" for an upgrade, i.e. contract extension, I was not eligible for a re-furbished phone. Matt said he needed approval with the mgr at the store- put me on hold and came back and said ""no"". So Verizon is willing to sacrifice 3 phone customers for over 5 years for one $50 phone - idiots. I called ATT, was about to switch, and figured I would give Verizon one more shot - call 1800# and no problem, set me up with the phone and added that the stores have incentives to extend plans - not very ethical. This store and Mgr at Walnut are...IDIOTS!!! If you stick with Verizon - bypass the stores and do it on-line.
