Venice is our favorite restaurant. We feel like royalty and the food is fantastic. The new additions in the menu are delicious, the mediterranean salad and the new pasta forno are to die for. Service is friendly and professional. The manager is always nice to us offering us complimentary desserts and lemoncello. more

Exellent service is what we like the 1/25/2012

Exellent service is what we like the most at Venice. Leo is our favorite waiter. The food is always exceptional, presented beautifully and served by a wait staff that is clearly happy to be participating in the experience. We are always treated as a vip. Moderstely priced options with a very good selections of meat and fish make Venice our favorite restaurant in town. We always choose a $36 bottle of wine that is truly fantastic (SUPERTUSCAN WINE). more

Outstanding Service and Great Food 2/24/2011

I go to Venice with my family or employees every week. We love it from the special welcome to the Buona Note. Service is outstanding (Nunzio, Rodney and Lane) and the food is amazing ( cheese plate, cozze, fettuccine with sausage, lamb and the fish of the day). The restaurant is beautiful and the wine is very well priced. You must try it. more

Expensive, Average Food and Pushy Service 1/22/2011

I don't understand this restaurant. We went on a Friday and it was packed. The food was bland and the service was pushy.\r \r When I tried to order a bottle of wine, our waiter told me I made a terrible choice, and told me in front of everyone that I must spend at least $40 to get a good bottle of wine. I ordered something else, but was really annoyed by him arguing with me in front of our guests.\r \r I ordered the gorgonzola salad, which was bland with a watery cream dressing. My wife and I both love anchovies, but her Caesar salad was surprisingly fishy, not in a good way, and again, bland.\r \r For entrees, I got the gnocci and veal special. The veal was ok, and the gnocci was, well, bland. And there was a lot of it, again, not in a good way. My wife got an average fish special that made us long for Bonefish Grill.\r \r We presented a gift certificate that covered the meal and the tip, but the server wouldn't apply any of the gift certificate to the tip, so we had to wait again for the waiter to run us a credit for $5 (which doesn't buy anything at this place), and I had to pay the tip all in cash. The waiter said, without apologies, that he doesn't make the rules (and demonstrated that he doesn't give a rat's @$$ about them as long as he can upsell).\r \r All in all, dinner for two cost $115. If you're going to drop a hundred on dinner for two, go some place with great food like Opus in Littleton, or with solid food at a good value, like Bonefish. If we had spent $100 at Duo in Highlands, I would have been amazed by the food and the service, rather than writing this annoying review.\r \r If it had cost $50, I would have rated it a three. But it cost $115, so it gets a two. I might give the gift certificate to a homeless person so he can find another investor and split a desert.\r \r \r more

Best Italian Food in Denver and Great Service 8/18/2010

My husband and I went to Venice last and had a wonderful experience. Our server was outstanding and the food was amazing. I think it is great when an Italian Restaurant prepares their pasta in house instead of getting it frozen like so many other Italian Restaurant do. They also have an excellent wine list and our server was very helpful in helping us choose the perfect bottle. We are now big fans of Venice Ristorante! more

The Best 8/16/2010

I' m a frequent customer of Venice Restaurant in Greenwood Village and in Lodo. They always have great food and once you are at Venice, you feel part of the family. Nunzio and his staff are impressive and when you bring your friends there, they will treat you like you own the restaurant. Let Nunzio suggest your dinner, from appetizers to dessert wine. Great ambiance, best food and great people. more

Such a disappointment! 2/14/2010

My husband and I eat out every night and have become somewhat of connoisseurs of Denver restaurants over the years. We had heard of Venice a few years ago and had talked about going but it never seemed to work out. So we decided to go for Valentines day. We were so disappointed! We each had a glass of wine, a bland caesar salad topped with four capers and a flavorless dish of mariner sauce mixed into under cooked (a little less than al dente) spaghetti encircled with shrimp. There was absolutely nothing special about the dinner except the $115 we spent. For this price we highly recommend Undicci (located where the old Fratelli's was on Old Hampden) or Gabriel's in Sedalia. Don't waste your time or your money at Venice-we wish we didn't! Pros: location is convenient Cons: Over priced and mediocre at best more

Best Italian fine dining Restaurant in Colorado 2/2/2009

We have been experiencing Venice Restaurant (Greenwood Village) for the past three years. In fact, we visit at least one time per month. We have hosted three parties of 16-22 people and most of the visits were with my beautiful wife and I. \r \r There are quite a few highlights to Venice. Every time we visit the service (Hostess, bartenders, servers, bussers) is fantastic. Nunzio, the General Manager is one of the most gracious and accomodating people you would ever wish to meet. He is always there to greet you with a hand shake and ""Buono Sera"". We've been served by some of the top, most attentive servers in the city, Luis, Maria, Phil, (just to name a few).\r \r The food, ah...the food. Alesandro and his team have put togeher an incredible menu, that is delicioso and consistent in presentation and taste. The salads are fresh and the pastas are always served Al dente! I would mention our favorites but that would take a whole page! (OK, the Antipastos, any of the salads especially Nunzios tableside Ceasar, the Pastas-Farfalle Fileto and Parppadelle Conghile Wild Boar), to name just few!)\r \r The wine list is fantastic and it has a wine or every taste and item on the menu. The decor of the Greenwood Village Venice is beautiful with the vaulted ceilings, white table cloths and the beautiful glassware and lighting in the restuarant.\r \r I could go on, but what I'm trying to say is that, you must call Venice and experience it yourself, you will not bve disappointed! Ciao and Bouno Sera! Pros: Service, Nunzio, Servers, Food, Wine Cons: Pace yourself, you'll want to try everything, and you can end up ordering more than you can eat more

Incredible restaurant for an elegant and romantic dinner 3/16/2008

I was reading reviews listed at city search and couple of them were not so good.\r I had been at Venice before for business meetings and it had always been fantastic.\r I decided to take my wife last night. I was impressed to see a name tag with my name on the table ( I did not know who owned the restaurant ).\r The manager Nunzio is always attentive, but this time he was extraordinary.\r Last night we had the best food ever and my server was very helpful than ever before.\r At the end of the dinner chef owner Alesandro approached our table bringing a fabulous dessert.\r Was our best experience ever in a restaurant.\r Venice is becoming the best restaurant in all Denver.\r THANKS Pros: Incredible restaurant to entairtain family, friends and businessman more

Great atmosphre, good food and attractive murals 3/15/2008

March 14th 2008\r This Venice in DTC is a jewel.\r The manager (Nunzio is a showman). He told us that next week they will do Flambe' service table side.\r This will be the only restaurant in Colorado to do table side flambe', i'm very extited.\r At this Venice I had mozzarella caprese to start, I must say I never had mozzarella so fresh ever before.\r Pappardele with wild boar was my pasta dish. UNBELIEVABLE............\r My crepe di pere were outstanding.\r My dinner was truly great.\r The music is very romantic, but I suggest to have more diversity ( they play Bocelli for more than two hours ).\r Don' t get me wrong, I like Bocelli but............... Pros: Atmosphere, Nunzio, Food Cons: Bocelli for two hours more

Who Waits on Who Here? 1/7/2008

My girlfriend and I recently went to Venice for a belated holiday dinner at 7:30 p.m. on a slow Sunday night. We were greeted by an empty host stand and proceeded to wait five minutes to be seated. It was the start of a trend. We also waited for water (20 minutes), another five minutes to be greeted by the server, and we waited an hour for our first course of the regional tasting menus. The only ""waiting"" our server did on our table was to replace the frosted water glass and prosecco glass with lipstick on them, to inform us 30 minutes after we had ordered it he had forgotton our wine order and then came back to tell us he was sold out of it, and finally to take away a wonderful half-glass of brunello with a fruit fly in it. As for the food, I have had worse Italian food in Denver, but not by much. The mozzarella was inconsistent and salty, the risotto with salsiccia was undercooked as was their anatra ravioligia or whatever they were calling it, which felt like the duck had been pureed. The gnocchi with cream, pears, and walnuts was the highlight with pears providing just the perfect amount of acidity and the walnuts' texture and bitter, earthy tones rounding the dish out nicely. After getting a great brunello I know and love, we endured the blase entrees and each took one bite of the disturbingly bad desserts before deciding there would be no after dinner drinks. Even after all the waiting, lipstick, fruit fly, and barely touched dessert our server never waivered in his apathy towards our completely unimpressed state we dined in and took with us. The manager did shake our hands on the way out... as he was apologizing after the valet left without informing them where he put our keys. We will never go back. Pros: Decor and Extensive Wine List Cons: Lots of Waiting and Poor Service more

Best Italian Food in Denver 11/16/2007

Food is wonderful, service is superb and ambiance is outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant. more

Best gorgonzola cream sauce world over! 11/8/2007

Our entire law firm had lunch here in the private back room. It was set up perfectly with a squared off table, so everyone was able to chat across the way. The food was so wonderful, there was not one complaint from 20 rather particular people. The wait staff was excellent. ""Not Worth the Hype"" must have been having a bad day, as even Queen Elizabeth would have thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and its delectible food selection. Pros: A diamond in the rough! Cons: None! more

Not worth the hype!! 10/16/2007

My husband had excellent food, I did not! The people next to us were treated like royalty and we were not! Not that I am royalty but it is offfensive seeing it and not understanding why all cusotmers are not treated the same. (Yes we had the same waiter). The girl with the cheese put it all over the table and my lap. The best thing was the wine and they didn't make that!! Pros: Lots of parking. Cons: Not worth the money. more

Outstanding Food! 1/28/2007

Tucked away in an upscale shopping center near my home, just West of the Tech Center, I found one of Denver's top restaurants. Venice's atmosphere is warm, and elegant. The dress is classy, but not too over dressed. The servers are polite, friendly and informative about the dishes they serve. Our food was served in a beautiful presentation, and the taste was incredible. We've been back a couple of times, and the experience has been wonderful each time. It is one of our favorite places to dine! more

excellent food 9/4/2006

This is a hidden gem in the tech center. It's situated in a strip mall and so from the outside it doesn't look very upscale. But once inside, the place is casually elegant and cozy. We had reservations for a Friday night. The place was definitely crowded. I had the pasta dish with seafood which was fantastic. Even better was the service. We had a fantastic waitress who was friendly and timely. Entrees were priced right in the upper $teens to $20's. Surprisingly they also serve many choices of steaks which I didn't get a chance to try. Pros: Excellent service, tasty dishes Cons: situated in a strip mall more
