Although the veterinary and grooming services seem fine, beware: the front office staff is constantly confused, so if you just need to pick up something, expect it to take a long time. more

Go to Dr. B 7/1/2009

Dr. B is the most caring vet there!! She is a pleasure to deal with and cares about the cost also.\r The other vets I dealt with seem to want to take the\r path of the least resistance for the most cost. It is probably because the office is not privately owned, but owned by a corporation. Perhaps they get bonuses based on their billing-just a thought. more

Little concern for your wallet 7/1/2009

I brought in a listless 2 yr old cat- obviously sick. A full range of tests were ordered. The cat had a slightly elevated temperature. The tests cost over $400.00.for kidney, feline leukemia, liver, etc, etc. To be fair, they did have me give the ok, but a frenzied pet owner would pay anything to find out what is wrong with a suffering animal. This was a young cat. Why not just take a white cell count and try antibiotics first before going further? In fact, after another $150 for water infusion and antibiotics, the cat is fine. Pros: Good Vets Cons: Orders every test in the book right away! more

Turned away dying pet for owner being short of funds 5/30/2009

Took my dying cat to them to try and save his life. I had been a client for years. Due to my own high medical bills, I didn't have enough money to pay the cost to hospitalize him that day. They turned my dying cat away, in not so many words, because VCA policy is to not allow payments. Doctor's notes say I chose to go elsewhere. What a lie-I wanted to save my pet's life! Stay away from VCA, no matter how caring the staff appears to be. If you're short of money in an emergency, they'll let your pet die in the parking lot on the way out. more

This is the place to take your pet!! 7/17/2006

This place has remained the vet for our pet (even though we moved to Pompano and have to drive all that way!!!). The entire staff, not just the doctors and kind, caring and extremely friendly. My cat had surgery here and they were a true blessing, and helped him to achieve a full recovery. They remember the patients and the doctor even called after her working hours and on the weekend to check up after the surgery!!\r \r Althought the wait time for your appointment can be long, they are worth it - and there is the option to drop your pet off before work and pick them up after. They can always get you in for an urgent situation. PROS: Friendly caring warm staff - they go the extra mile! CONS: long wait time more

The Vet is the "Cat's Meow" 7/23/2005

This is the place the Humane Society of Broward has designated to give free after care for 30 days for animals which are adopted from there. The waiting area is very spacious, but the waiting time can be long, even with an appointment which is required. I really like the vet and he has treated several of my cats, one being very infected with ringworm. I owe it to him for the diagnosis and for giving excellent, very involved treatment and encouragement. He is very thorough and was definitely tenacious about helping my little kitty. If I did not already have a vet, which I am loyal to, I would definitely choose this clinic. PROS: very good vet CONS: long wait, even with appointment more
