I found Vaughn & Sons to be reliable in that they were on the job when they said they would be. My job was rather unconventional and I found the company willing to perform the work to my needs and desires, within code. I have been very pleased with net result of the work done. more

I have used John Vaughn & Sons several times now. The first time I used John was for a master bathroom redo. I had received quotes from other contractors, but what I liked about John is that he truly understood what it was I wanted to do. One contractor told me it wasn't possible, but John figured out how to do it! John takes his time to understand what it is you want; not decide on his own this is what you need. He is good at staying within my budget and still gives me a quality job. He is honest how much the job is going to cost too! The other thing I like is John stands behind his work. If there is a problem he comes back and fixes it. We are on our 4th project with John. I don't trust anyone else but John to work on our house. Also, John has good and trustworthy connections, if it is a project he doesn't do. And, he puts up with my obnoxious dogs! John and his crew are friendly and respectful. more

John and his crew made sure that the project was done well. There is no question but that the quality of work was excellent. That was the most important thing for me. They were all really nice people and a pleasure to know. Would recommend without reservation. Carmelo Urza more

I couldn't have been happier with Vaughn & Sons Construction. I felt like John was family, looking out for me and building like it was his own place he was working on. It's been 2 years since the work was done, but I've been meaning to call and tell them how happy I am. I can't begin to say how happy I am with the work they did. What we had them do is turn our stable into an in-law barnhouse. They turned it into a 20x30, self-contained utopia. It couldn't have been better. Even now, it brings tears to my eyes thinking about it. I appreciate their skill, workmanship, and everything they've done for us. more

They were patient with my indecisiveness and really worked with our family to create a kitchen/great room that matched our needs and the existing structure of our home, including adding a beam to our open-beamed ceiling. Every portion of the job was completed as promised. My kitchen is incredible and I could not have asked for more. I knew not just the owners were concerned about my happiness but also their team of employees, whom I trusted to leave in my home. Each evening (even though I told them they didn't always have to) they cleaned and packed up all of their things. Not once was there a nail or tool left out. This was appreciated esp. with kids and animals still living in the home during construction. Our friends and family were so impressed with their work at our home that they have used them for a variety of projects. My in-laws still talk about the transformation of our great room and have used Vaughn & Sons for their own construction projects. And, when we had remove the entire floor in a bathroom and half of a bedroom because of water damage caused by renters as well as many other repairs in a rental house left in total disarray, we called John. We were so comfortable with their competence, we went ahead with construction even though we were out of the country. In my opinion, it is rare to find a construction company with such integrity among the owners and employees. They are also very charitable and, who doesn't appreciate that? more
