I used to live in Tupelo and ate at Vanelli's many times at the old location. I decided to get something quick at Vanelli's since it was in walking distance of my hotel. I ordered the french-dip sub and was overwhelmed by how good it was. I mean, it's bread, cheese and meat. Very simple but, so so good. The meat was seasoned so wonderfully that I ate it in tiny little bites. Wonderful! I'll make it a point to eat at Vanelli's every time I'm in Tupelo from now on. more

This restaurant features some very different food from the normal fare found. We saw so many choices that we both ordered the Greek platter so we could experiment with so many different foods. Everything was delicious! The interior is very well done with private booths and excellent touches. The waitress suggested a special iced tea/lemonade for us as we wanted something different. It was very good, and again, different. What an enjoyable place to eat! more

Best pizza in Tupelo 2/25/2007

Best pizza in town and great decor./ambience. However, the rest of the menu is rather mediocre and contains too much fat. The menu needs imagination to match the decor. Pros: Great pizza, great decor, good service, prices are right Cons: unimaginative menu, fatty dishes. more

Vanelli's is a wonderful place to go for delicious Greek & Italian food. They are a little pricey, but their food is really worth what you pay for it, in my opinion. They have a nice lunch buffet also. Pros: Delicious food, Buffet, Great ambiance Cons: Expensive more
