I hate to be so old-school at heart but I can no longer deny my love for the vintage! Iceland is everything an ice rink should be-- homey, family-oriented, and a true hidden gem. If you can take a second to get past the outer appearance & get your nose out of the air, it's tons of fun.\r

A fellow reviewer made a comment about the ice being so thin the ""wood shows through,"" and I'd just like to add that this would be a quite impossible feat, considering there is nothing but steel pipes under the ice. As a regular patron and a parent to one of the students enrolled in classes, I can also assure you, there are no rats, the food is good (It's just a snack bar-- it's fine), and as for the bathrooms...\r

The ladies restroom is nice, it's small-ish but at least it's not a single restroom like others have, and yes it smells but we can hardly blame the establishment itself for that. Especially considering the fact that YES, this is a kid's place, children generally have pretty terrible hygiene and occasionally ""forget"" to flush. We all know this much.\r
\r
Also, I don't know what this is about the owner being rude. He is the sweetest man ever! He donates the bumper cars to our school's PTA events every year FOR FREE, this would usually be a 2,000$ ordeal, and he's the one losing money with the employees he's paying to man the ride.\r
\r
And as someone whose child is a part of the Kids Sports Foundation here (it's a nonprofit you go through for discounted lessons), I can assure you, a man that starts a nonprofit organization to help low-income families, is anything but rude or any sort of pejorative.
Pros: Quality service, best prices, and FUNNNN
