Great Bernina Dealer! 12/19/2009

Daryl at Vallejo Sew & Vac knows his sewing machines. I recently bought my third Bernina from him and I wouldn't buy anywhere else. I have to drive 140 miles round trip but I won't let anyone else service my machines. \r \r Great attitude; great customer service; great prices! Pros: Price; service; attitude Cons: I have to drive 70 miles to shop there (but worth it) more

Forget free classes on machines bought here 5/9/2009

I bought a new serger at this shop and was told I would get free lessons. My first lesson I had to lug the machine up steep stairs then once up there the teacher had never even seen the machine before. She looked at my instruction book and read it to me. I could have and did do that at home. I had also watched the video that came with it. She said that she would work on getting to know the machine and for me to come back for my next lesson. I did some more reading myself and went back for another lesson. Same thing. She read the book to me. Needless to say, I never went back. I ended up going to Santa Rosa to get my lessons that I had to pay for. Well worth it to finally get someone that knew what they were doing. I never recommend this store. Cons: Poor teaching more

No returns. If it is a bad machine, you still own it 90 feet from the door. 5/8/2008

This store has the 90 feet or 90 minute warranty.\r If you pay for it, you own it. As soon as the money is in their till.\r Bring it back in 30 minutes and no matter how bad the machine is.\r You will never be able to return it. Pros: Owner always wants to talk. Cons: Owner will not honor gaurantee's. more

best prices, best turn-around on repairs 6/27/2006

Best prices on all kinds of great machines, including (but not limited to) quilters, sergers, professional, and blind stitchers; quality used machines too. Part of my income depends on my sewing, and there have been times I needed, and got, same-day turn-around on minor repairs/adjustments, and at reasonable prices. The owner is pleasant, patient and willing to share tips and hints with novices. I'm REALLY gonna miss this place when I go back East. more

Rock bottom prices and super pleasant shop owner 12/21/2005

The owner of this shop offers absolutely rock bottom prices! I'm addicted to sewing machines (well, it could be worse), and I've found the most fun-loving sewing machine shop, but the prices that he offers are unusually low. I've shopped most of the larger and smaller sewing machine shops, and they're no match. He's also honest, and encourages you to try them out. He'll set them up for you to experiment with. He's not a huge shop, but his variety's really good. Pros: not crowded, best prices by far, pleasant Cons: none so far more
