I finally found a hairstylist! My search started 16 years ago when I got my first pixie cut. Since then I've had a run of bad cut, too expensive, too far, too slow, too annoying, not creative enough. With Irene I've finally found my Goldilocks bed & I'm staying. I like her company, I love her work, she's reasonably priced, I don't have to sit in the chair for hours, and most importantly I just trust her with my hair! She's a true artist. more

I found Irene through the Groupon.It was hard to schedule at first due to her car accident and on my first hair cut she was in a lot of pain. I came to her after 2 years of searching for a very good stylist.The one I went for 18 years moved away. I was not sure what to expect,especially going there with a Groupon.I told her to do what she thinks is best for my hair. She did an amazing job,a great hair cut which looks good even after 4 weeks and when I wake up too!!! I had so many compliments on my hair cut,even when is due for another cut . She knows to bring the best of your hair through the cut..She is very personable and funny and while she cuts your hair you have fun too.\r I went there 3 times now and I would not change her for anybody else.I am in Westwood,but is worth the drive.If you schedule your appointments in advance ,no problem. If you wait until the last minute,is hard,she is very busy.\r She is a very highly skilled stylist and I would highly recommend her without any reservations.\r Felicia C\r more

Californias best haircut and colorist 2/16/2012

Being a retired hair stylist I had a hard time trying to find some one to do my hair. I always had a certain standard having worked at the best salons in Beverly Hills for many years. Until my first haircut with Irene. I have a lot of hair and thick and frizzy and wavy and its hard to cut it without it going a little crazy. Her cuts are so beautiful that five months later my cut still looks clean, precise and stylish. So I can choose any lenght I want to keep it at , let it grow or trim every couple of months. I 100% recomend her color services, no one would ever guess I'm almost all grey at 46, my light brown color with soft highlights looks like I've never colored it. She is a genious and the most fun to talk to and she is very honest with you if what you are asking for is a little far fetched. In all...... I love her services!! more

Consistently great cut and color! 2/11/2012

I'm so happy with the hair cuts I've been getting from Irene. I found her in the neighborhood and have been going back ever since. Also, I love what she did with my color. It looks great!! Recently I moved to Hollywood but will be gladly going back to Vaksberg in BH for my salon appointments. more

One of the best curly hair cuts I've had! I've learned that only people with curly hair know how to cut curly hair. It's been months since my hair was cut and it still has a good shape. Highly recommend Irene!! more

Fantastic Salon 4/2/2011

I have been going to Irene for cuts and color for over a decade. She is wonderful! She listens to exactly what you want and does a great job. She is a truly excellent colorist and can even fix the worst color mistakes. I would highty recommend her to anyone. I took my 2 bi-racial, curly-headed girls to Batia and Aleeza when Irene was out of town one time. Big mistake!!!! Their service was terrible. Irene gave them better cuts and treated them like little princeses, making them feel so special. She is a great person and very talented. Don't go anywhere else!!! more

THE BEST HAIRCUT AND HIGHLIGHTS EVER! 11/17/2010

I have been searching for a stylist and salon like this FOREVER! Now I have found it--Irene Vaksberg of the Vaksberg Salon. I wanted a salon that was convenient with no drama. I wanted a salon where I could find parking easily. I wanted a stylist that would get a cut and highlights done right. Irene and her salon have all these things and MORE! Irene is such a sweet and down-to-earth person and is so skilled at her craft. She gave me a perfect cut, and the highlights were absolutely?amazing and exactly what I wanted. The highlights look so natural and the cut makes me feel so young. Irene was?ready for me when I arrived for my appointment, which I really appreciated, and the cut and highlights were done with expert efficiency, and I was out the door much sooner than I had?anticipated. Irene's prices are so reasonable, especially considering how talented she is at her craft. I feel so lucky to have found Irene. She's the only one I will have cut my hair and do my highlights from now on. more

IRENE IS A HAIR GENIUS 10/17/2010

Irene possesses creative powers when it comes to transforming hair. My hair is (was) extremely thick, coarse and unmanageable. Irene suggested the COPPOLA KERATIN COMPLEX relaxing treatment and OMG, my hair is now shiny, silky and so easy to manage. This treatment will last at least 5 months. It is by far the best thing that has happened to my hair!! Also, I must mention that Irene is the best colorist in the LA area (and beyond). I get so many compliments on my hair that I carry and hand out her business cards. I highly recommend Irene if you want your hair to look it's very best. more

Best Kept Secret in LA 9/26/2010

Bottom line- Irene Vaksberg is the best kept secret for hair in Los Angeles. I have worked with top stylists all over the world - including those that do runway, since my background in in fashion. Irene's secret is that she not only able to listen to her client but actually be intuitive enough to understand what her client may need to actually really look good and feel good. Definately not an easy feat and one that I have been let down with repeatedly. Irene is the hairdressers' hairdresser . She is entirely focused, skillful and engaged when working on you. Its an incredibly personal thing to have someone do this, but I totally trust Irene. I could recommend Irene to anybody and know she won't let them down. I am so happy to have found her, and that I can finally feel good about my hair. more

I have extremely curly, frizzy (Persian) hair that is virtually unmanageable... I had the Coppola Keratin Complex relaxing treatment done with her (at a very reasonable price too!), and my hair has been transformed! I use far less product than I used to (big money saver), my curls are softer, WAYYYY less frizzy, and it is now a cinch to straighten my if I choose to. I would recommend her to anyone I know! more
