VCA Pike Creek Animal Hospital

Pike Creek Animal Hospital has been professionally caring for my MANY dogs over the 15 year period I have lived in the area. The technicians (Kathy, Lea, Colleen, Monica, Cindy, Linda, Heidi, Becky, Tara, Angela, Tracy, et al) have always extended themselves way above and beyond in their thoughtfulness and kindness to all my pets. There has been VERY little technician turnover in all those years, if at all, so you know they are exceptionally knowledgeable and extremely organized. I cannot express the lengths they have gone through for the comfort of an ailing dog. I foster and rescue Greyhounds. They are often older, have racing injuries, or due to their propensity for cancer, they need constant veterinary care. So, my visits are exorbitant. I have been going to Pike Creek Animal Hospital since they opened about 21 years ago. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff are always helpful and caring. The doctors there are always so caring and know my animals, I feel like they treat them like they would treat their own. I always recommend Pike Creek to my friends and co-workers as the best place to take your pets for medical care. I also wouldn't board my pets anywhere else. I can really relax on vacation because I know I'm going to come home to healthy happy pets! more

I made an attempt to voice concerns to the hospital's doctors about unprofessional staff, only to be told that Doctor Mc Kersie had no need to talk with me. What? No need to understand when a customer is NOT happy with your business? Would absolutely not recommend for two huge reasons: 1st--The nurses and staff are the most UNFRIENDLY AND UNCARING people I have come in contact with at an animal hospital. The first people you meet at a Vet are the Nurses and Receptionists....having some compassion and empathy should be the required quality a Doctor would want for their patients. Well, not at Pike Creek! 2nd--When an Animal Hospital has posted hours beginning at 7am...one would expect a Dr. to be there and not come in at 9:30. CRAZY! Our poor poodle died today without the help of PIKE CREEK! more

We've gone to Pike Creek Animal Hospital for almost 20 years and they are the best. Dr. McKersie is the best by far. He gives you the best and worst case scenarios to give you an idea of what's going on. Explains pricing, causes, what to expect, etc. We moved about 12 years ago and went to 4 different vets that were closer to home. I wasn't happy with any of them and now we''re back to making the 45 minute drive to see Dr. McKersie. Couldn't recommend them higher!!! more

The vets and vet techs at this place are amazing. They are very personal with you and your pet. The prices are incredibly reasonable and often times much lower than many other vet clinics. I have never felt rushed during an appointment and feel as if the doctors really DO care for my pet. Getting an appointment and scheduling surgeries have always been easy. I can't say enough good things about this place. I've been a happy client for 15 years and often recommend Pike Creek to friends and family (who are all happy as well!) more

I have a young stubborn German Sheppard and there is no place else I would trust to take such good care of him. Dr. McKersie is great with big dogs and answers all my questions honestly. They do a great job grooming and the staff is very friendly and caring. I would recommend them to anyone. more

I took my cat here a couple months ago when my normal vet wasn't able to see me. My cat was sick and was caughing a lot and I wanted to get him checked out. Pike Creek Animal Hospital was able to see me right away and gave me some medicine for my cat. The people there were very friendly and took good care of my cat. They seemed to be good calming scared animals down, and I would take my pets back there if I ever needed to. more
