This review previously placed on insider pages is a legitimate review and refers to OLD RIVER ANIMAL HOSPITAL but NOT Tracy Veterinary Clinic. It has been linked inapproriately by a flaw in Googles algorithms with Tracy Veterinary Clinic in error. more

Great Service! 2/17/2010

This is a great Vet center. They offer kennel boarding and since they are a hospital, you can rest comfortably knowing that if your pet has any problems, the hospital is right there to take care of it. I've been taking my dog there for years and they have a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can tell how dedicated they are to animals as they have cats that freely roam the area (they are tamed and friendly cats). more

Excellent care across the board 6/5/2009

I've been coming to ORV for close to 20 years--way before they remodeled and got the snazzy office. Hasn't made a difference: they are still down to earth, nice people who truly care about your pets. \r \r When I had to put my dog down about 10 years ago, they handled it professionally and personally. The care until that point had been awesome--even suggesting that maybe we send the dog to UC Davis to see if they could do anything for her because we had exhausted all avenues ORV could take. When it was over and we were leaving, I was surprised to see Dr. Jackson in the back, quietly crying himself: putting dogs down can't be easy for them, either. \r \r I'm sorry that someone had a bad experience there, and I would have been upset about the ashes as well, but I don't think it was from a lack of caring. It was simply a mistake that could've happened anywhere and I'm sure they felt bad about it, because that's how they are. \r \r I've taken my cat and dogs there and would recommend them to any more

Nice Vet 3/13/2009

I took my cat here because he was ill. We could not figure out what was going on with him. They were able to get him an appointment quickly and they did not make us wait long in the office itself. They were very clean and professional. more

Excellent Care 4/23/2008

Old River is a great vet hospital. We have been clients there since 1988 with 5 dogs and 1 cat. Even though we have been in Livermore for quite a while, I still take our pets there to Tracy. The office staff is friendly and helpful, and the nurses are top notch. They are hard-working and compassionate. Some of them have been with Old River as long as we have! All the doctors there are terrific ?professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We see Dr. Lesia Machicao there most often, and she is wonderful. She is dedicated and caring, and very thorough. I would highly recommend Old River. more

Fabulous to felines 11/23/2005

What I love about Old River is that the staff there seems to love my pet as much as I do. I had no idea the problems my cat had were related to his being overweight. I was prepared for a lecture, but the staff treated me well and educated me on my role as a pet owner. One nurse even referred to my cat as "20 pounds of fur-covered sex appeal." Great personalities like that is what keep me coming back to Old River for all my veterinary needs. PROS: Wonderful staff, great office space CONS: more
