Best

It's hard to believe some of the negative reviews are for this same place. I have had nothing but excellent care for my two cats and two dogs. The entire staff from the front desk...

We were politely asking questions about our pet's medicine when out of nowhere, the girls we were talking to rolled their eyes right infront of us. It was totally uncalled for. Fo...

Groomer Maimed My Cat 4/20/2007

Previously Miller Hospital was a wonderful local business with long term established staff. I had been a regular customer for six years since VCA took over, and was shocked to see the tough as nails butch groomer shave my medium-long hair beautfiul cat - after discussing specifically with her in person about not doing a marine looking shave job. When I picked up my cat and saw the shave job, which obviously was done by the groomer with evil malicious intent, she then insulted us when we called to complain, saying the cat was frail and ready to die soon anyways. She then suggested next time we go up the street to PetCo. My cat has been in complete shock for weeks, and has finally started to recover through time and extra care at home. Never will I return, or recommend this place, even though they offered a $39 credit for the shaving issue. Plus the vet also made a mistake by misdiagnosing my cat's itchy ears, which is why we brought her in the first place. Always have to wait 30 minutes for drop off and another 30 to pick up, it's just poorly run all the way around. more

VCA is a joke 4/17/2007

I will never go to another VCA, especially Miller Robertson. The staff is completely useless, untrained, and incredibly unprofessional. They hire people who talk about their PERSONAL problems in a graphic nature in the middle of the reception area! These people are disgusting. They talk about sex, drugs, and I don't even want to get into the rest, but they are gross and I don't want them near my pets.\r \r I've worked in the vet field as a technician for over 10 years. I know a good place when I see one. The Dr's there seem nice and knowledgeable, but they seem to work up their cases unnecessarily. I mean c'mon, $300 dollars to neuter a cat? the procedure take about 5 - 10 minutes, start to finish. Seriously. Then they want to charge you $100 dollars for IV fluids that the cat will not get because the procedure takes only 5 minutes!\r \r They make it seem as if the animal is going to be on IV fluids all day, when they are just on them (and it's a re-used IV bag and line folks!) more

Don't endanger your pet's life! 11/5/2006

I brought in my dog to get his shots and was horrified at the experience I had. Their staff is completely incompetent. They forgot about us in the waiting room and there wasn't anyone else waiting! After 30 minutes I reminded them that we had an appointment. We finally get in and thank goodness I was paying attention - they almost gave my dog the same shot twice! I decided to not put my dog through that again, so I called to have them make copies of my dog's medical records so we could go to a better vet. They told me they would have it for me at the front counter. I show up and they have no clue who I am (even though I'd spoken to them on the phone 30 minutes earlier) and the lost all of my dog's paper work! I now have no record of my dog's shots or medications. If you love your pet and value its health - DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE! Cons: Poor Medical Treatment, Expensive, Unprofessional more

bad doctors, they just want your money 8/8/2006

We took our dog twice for different reasons and in both cases the doctors were unable to give correct diagnosis. We called more than ten times and were placed on hold for over 2 minutes every single time, the doctors would not return the messages and when they did (after two weeks) they had no idea of what was wrong with the dog. One saw a broken bone, his college didnt see the broken bone, the acupuncturist wanted to start acupuncture on the broken bone, etc. Basically they wanted to get as much money as they could from us, yet they were clueless about what was going on with our pet. \r Very, very disappointed. Spent a lot of money and got no results. more

Pressure Sales Pitch/Pricey 5/29/2006

I visited this animal hospital after it was recommended by a friend of mine. When I arrived, the male receptionist was extremely friendly and welcomed me. I filled out my paper work and was brought to the back where my cat was examined. The vet was professional and everything seemed to be going good. Then the vet mentioned I should purchase a package deal which includes shots, vaccines, etc. for the animal. I wasn't sure, as it was almost a couple hundred dollars, so I told him I would think about it. He said, "Okay" and I was on my way.\r \r In walks in the receptionist who should have chosen another profession. As I stood there to pay she said to me, "Are you going to purchase the package deal or pay individually for each service?" I asked how much it would cost for the single visit vs. buying the entire package. She would not tell me and said I had a few minutes to decide. I felt like I was buying a used car. She really put on the pressure for me to buy the vacination package. In the more

When the very famous animal clinic to the stars was purchased by mega chain VCA we all thought the service and caring staff would starting heading down hill but it's just not the case. This top rate facility still caters to the stars and is a great place to take your dog or cat. They have emergency numbers if you need then and are always attentive to your animals when you bring them in. more
