The staff is knowledgeable and compassionate. They take the time to educate the pet owner, present the available options and work with the client on an acceptable treatment plan. They are excellent clinicians and diagnosticians.
Having said all this, I will not be returning to McKenzie Animal Hospital. When my dog was diagnosed with a chronic medical condition recently I was told there were no alternatives to bringing her in several times a week for the rest of her life for routine blood work, which was simply unaffordable for me. In doing my own Internet research I discovered I could perform the tests myself at home at literally a fraction of what the vet charged, and that discovery has caused me to feel betrayed by and distrustful of this particular clinic. In my distress over my dog's illness and my limited financial resources I had been encouraged to consider euthanasia rather than seek help elsewhere, and I have to think I'm not the only one this has happened to.
