Dr Melon is a great vet 8/30/2010

Dr.Melon is an excellent Dr and appropriately diagnosed my Cat as CRF. I had problems with other vets diagnosing her correctly. Because of the good care I get from Dr Meon my cat is 18 years old and still us. Thank you Dr Melon. more

Worst Place to go!!!!! 8/5/2010

As if it wasn't bad enough that we had to wait 2 hours and 20 minutes to see a vet, he could give us NO SOUND ADVICE! After a brief exam, and 2 x-rays he was unable to help us. UNLESS, we paid $2500 in DIAGNOSTICS, which may or may not tell us what was wrong with our precious dog! After letting us know that our boxer could be sick from anything like rat poisoning to cancer, he sent us home with a $55 prescription for vitamin K, he thinking rat poison, even though we assured him, there was NO WAY POSSIBLE that could be it! He advised us only that she has fluid and/or blood in or around her lungs, and that further testing (but only the WHOLE workup, $2500) could possibly determine what is was. Also, she needed to be calm for 21 days. more

Worst animal hospital 4/24/2008

Boston Road animal hospital is the absolute worse place to take your animal. The staff does not have any idea what they are talking about at all, the reception is not friendly and they do not really care for the well being of your animal. I have taken my animals there and would never do it again. Two of our animals have died there and now I'm seeing why. I called there because of an emergency with our dog that had DM which is like MS for humans, trying to locate an ambulance service for her. They told me to call the MSPCA, that we could find an ambulance there, which obviously has been closed for a year. Now why would someone that works for an animal place in an emergency do that. You would think they would be a bit more helpful, almost like it was a bother to her. Please try other places before going to Boston Road. There are plenty of other places that are way more helpful, caring and knowledgeable than them. They really should have been the business that closed not Angell/MSPCA. very sad. Pros: none more

Animal Hospitals 11/12/2007

I brought my 14 year old golden retriever to their hospital, late in the evening. He was lethargic and weak. The staff were so understand and gracious as they explained that he was dying and my options. They allowed me to say my goodbyes and to hold my best friend in his time of need (like he had done for me so many times). more
