VCA All Pets Animal Hospital Salinas

I had recently moved to Salinas and needed a new vet for my dog. I decided to take him here, that was a mistake. When I pulled in to their parking lot it looked very nice and modern from out side, I had high hopes. When I went in the iside was like the outside = cleand and modern. The receptionist were very friendly and nice. Everything was going great. They even had a huge selection of dog food. When I was called in to the room , I had to wait for a while. When the vet came she talked to me and was very firendly,. She took my dog to back room to be weight, this is where it all went wrong. My dog gets very scared and even agressive when he is in new situations, I though they might have a little sympathy for him. As soon as she close the door behind her, I started hearing my dog crying, he sounded soo scared. My heart ached!!! They had him back their for 10 to 15 minutes and every minute his was crying. When they brought him back, the look on his face was of pure terror. They have him back to be smelling like feces because he had defecated, due to the fact that he was scared. His toe nail was bleeding becuse they had cut his nails too short. I wanted to cry as soon as I saw him, dirty and bleeding. When I went out to pay I felt it was a little expensive, hI had paid less with my previouse vet in King city. When I left, I vowed never to return. I still regret taking his there. I now have a new vet who is AWSOME with my dog!!!!! more

I had been using this vet clinic since the late 70's when on Williams Rd w/Dr. Torres. And would always recommend to friends. However over the last two years many changes have been made in the way the practice is run. This has resulted in rude front desk staff. Surgery recommended on a geriatric dog w/out first disclosing that blood panels were not all in the normal range. A trip to Emergency Vet due to incompetance of an All Pets vet tech. Billing errors etc. \r \r I still think that Dr.'s Martin & Fling are adequate vets...but changes in how this office is staffed and run have made me leave. The focus has gone from client care to profit making. This is never good in a medical practice. more

My experience was a good one. Everyone is kind and sympathetic.My expectations were met because the doctor was very through and told me what I needed for my dog. They specialize in dogs and cats but they won't turn you away if toy have a different pet. They are the best deal in Salinas. Very affordable. I will recommend to my friends. more

I have had experiences with a plethora of pet hospitals and I gotta tell you, All Pets ROCKS!!! Their staff is very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and well kept, the doctors there are GREAT!! The BEST part is- the don't hurt you in the wallet and you get service like you are KING!!!\r I suggest EVERYONE go there before they realize they could be charging MORE!!!!! Pros: The service far exceeds the amount of money they usually charge for those services!!! Cons: I live in Pacific Grove they are in Salinas more
