It's all about money. Be sure to understand that. Things are rough and people don't trust anyone anymore. I would have agreed to paycheck garnishment... anything. It was cold. It was business. If you get a pet, get pet insurance so you don't feel like scum as they tell you to let your pet die if you don't have thousands upfront. I've never felt more helpless, humiliated or worthless in my entire life. I don't think I'll ever stop crying. I don't know if it's different at other clinics, but I'll never go back. Not ever. My dog was a friend and this wonderful little person in a fur coat and no one there cared. more

Caring people who aren't in it for the money!! 11/22/2008

I have used this facility for over 5 years and have found the staff to be very caring and concerned people. When my dog was dying they exhausted every possible avenue to find the cause. When my dog did die they were very upset and even sent a hand written card and flowers. They have continued to treat my two dogs I have now with care and respect and many of the staff even know my name when I come in. It is a little expensive but the care my animals receive is well worth it. more

In it for the $$$.... 9/25/2008

Beware that they will try to sell or force unnecessary services and charges on you. For example, without informing you, they charge a $45 "examination" fee when you go in for any single vaccination other than a Lipo booster or Bordatella. This "examination" basically consists of looking at your dog's ears, teeth, etc and takes literally seconds. This will change the price of a routine vaccination from $10-15 to $60-70.\r \r The only thing I like about this place is their convenient boarding pickup hours. more

Good Vet Care 12/23/2007

This place does great pet care. Prices may be high but their care is excellent. Their doctors to everything in their power to help your animal out. Just like any other hospital they have to do test to make sure to diagnose your pet correctly. And yes it will cost money, but isn't your pet worth it. more

Overpriced, Overrated. 6/4/2007

I know a lot of people go to this place because it's at a convenient location. However, they really are out for the money! They will sell, sell, sell to get every dime out of your pocket by administering tests that are unnecessary, and the like. For instance, my dog, at 5 months, still had her canines, and VCA pushed me as hard as they could to get me to let them remove the teeth by surgery, costing only $400. Her teeth fell out naturally a month later. They also recently REFUSED to give me heart worm preventative because they wanted to give my dog a heart worm test first, even though she had one about 6 mo. ago and had been on the preventative ever since. What kind of a place would do that? A great alternative is Pittman Animal Hospital -there I found total honesty, quality care and FAR cheaper prices. more

I wish you could give them no stars 8/28/2005

The most inconsiderate, uncaring people I have ever met. I took my dog there when she was dying from parvo and you could definitely tell they are in it for the money, not helping the animals. They first charged us $100 just to tell us that she had parvo, then told us it would be $1200 to treat her and we needed half up front and the other half 4 days later when her treatment was done. When I couldn't afford that, I asked if we could do anything else to help her like sign her over to the hospital and have someone adopt her from there. They told us no and that "maybe it was time for her to go to puppy heaven." What vet is THAT willing to put a dog down without even trying to help? One that's in it for the money and nothing else! Steer clear!! more
