I Would Use This Store Again 1/31/2011

I have bought 2 computers from these guys and what was paid was more than made up by their further service. admittedly their return policy could use some work but Bill and the other staff there have been very patient with all my stupid questions and I would use this store again.? more

I've been lagging on getting a replacement battery for my 4 year-old G4 and after too much searching online for "the best deal" and not even knowing the batteries were a reputable brand or even reputable for generic, I decided to walk in to these guys.? more

A very customer oriented store 1/27/2011

They have good prices and excellent repair service. The technician and many of the staff are very knowledgeable about computers. This is a community business that thinks highly of their customers instead of trying to squeeze every dime out of them. In a recent transaction, of many, they charged me $15 labor to install a new keyboard on a HP persario laptop without any problems or delay in the work. more

I definitely reccomend The Used Computer Store 1/20/2011

The Used Computer Store has saved my life. I brought in my lifeless computer not thinking it had a hope in the world since the shady folks at Eid's had uploaded an incompatible Russian version of Windows onto my computer. I couldn't even get to my main page. Not only did the incredibly polite and amicable staff at The Used Computer Store diagnose and fix the seemingly impossible problem, they did it for cheaper than Eid's staff charged to ruin my computer in the first place. Great success and patient, pleasant staff; I definitely reccomend The Used Computer Store. more

Prices seemed fair. The charger was $59 for my son's HP. My charger for my Dell recently died and Dell charged us $150!! more

Incredible 1/6/2011

While my mom was visiting me for a week from FL, she went to this store and they spent probably 2-3 hours with her teaching her how to use her computer! Which is incredible! Thank you, thank you, nice people who work there! more

Prices Were Reasonable 1/4/2011

I went in here looking for a particular kind of power cord that I was having trouble finding elsewhere, and they happened to have it, so I was really happy, and I don't think the price was unreasonable. more

Dashing Blonde That Works In The Store 12/30/2010

There is a dashing blond that works in this store, and not only did he help my friend get a quality keyboard for a decent price, but he also patiently & intelligently helped a little old man that was in front of us in line with his computer confusions. more

The Used Computer Store is great. I've bought RAM, a 24" monitor, keyboards, etc. It's probably where I'll go to buy my next laptop once my Macbook core duo is obsolete. I've also sold them surplus monitors and keyboards. more

Found What I Need 12/17/2010

I'm an engineer, and I often need to get some obscure part of a computer. This is the only place in Berkeley that will root through their old parts for me. They found an Intel IWI4965 wireless chip for me, which is almost impossible to find as it was sold as part of a set of Gateway motherboards. more

Didn't have to worry 11/29/2010

I had a great experience here. The screen on my expensive laptop cracked, and the tech guys at work told me it would cost $700 or more to fix it. After spending far too much time trying to decide how to replace the laptop, it occurred to me to ask Bill how much it would cost for him to fix it. He did the job for half the price. I got a great repair. Best of all, Bill called me when the replacement screen came in, I brought the laptop down and I was able to pick it up the same day, so I didn't have to worry about not having it available. more

I had a great experience. I've been lagging on getting a replacement battery for my 4 year-old G4 and after too much searching online for "the best deal" and not even knowing the batteries were a reputable brand or even reputable for generic, I decided to walk in to these guys. I spoke to Bill and he was extremely helpful and stood behind their generic brand for batteries. He assured me no one has ever come back with a problem with the product but promised a 6-month warranty. He also gave me lots of unsolicited advice about how to keep my G4 happy 'til its very last day. Which in this economy, you bet your bottom's dollar that's what I'm gonna do. more
