US Express Moving DECEPTION, WOW,I'm still in shock! 11/17/2011

INSAIN MOVERS, UTTER DECEPTION, WOW,I'm still in shock! Hackensack, New Jersey I was making moving inquires over the net. These people were the first to respond. They sent me an email, bright colorfull ext... They aked approx how many rooms and developed "an estimate/quote." Well at first they seem to be very helpfull. My move as I expressed to them was very tentative (9/3/08). A rep, Laura, emailed me back and forth and seem very persistant. Well I expressed that I couldn't commit to anything and would like a "free in home estimate." Somehow, that never happened. They obainted my credit card information, with a note in their records "NOT TO CHARGE the card "...untill they'd receive written or verbal authorization." They called me on Friday, 8/22/08 at 9:00am and stated they wanted to check if it would be ok to move forward with the 'deposit charge of $200.00?" I was so thrown off by the call, I never signed anything and I never stated that I was going to, FOR SURE, use their services for the move! I could NOT beleive they were calling so far in advance--for a deposit of commitment?! I spoke to JOHN MILLER, he threw me off gaurd by yelling at me that I commited to this and I gave them my credit card information and a note that I would '...have them charge the card on Thursday (8/28/08) and he simply wanted to see if I could commit today?' I replied "NO, I never commited to anything, signed nor verbal!" He interupted and said '...well then let me tell you about our cancellation policy...you will be charged $125.00." I told him that I NEVER authorized this and even if I did, the cancellation fee wouldn't apply according to their "cacellation policy" . DO NOT INQUIRE OR USE THIS COMPANY. I am so upset that I will discuss this matter with The Better Business Bureau and suggest NOT USING THESE PEOPLE! "Laura", "Ali", "John Miller" WOW, is all I have to say, wow, what a morning. more

US EXPRESS MOVING Moving Scam 11/17/2011

Thanks for this post. I almost decided to go with this company as well. I ended up writing them an e-mail asking them how they can possibly make money with one truck, especially during a coast to coast move. Thank god I saw this thread. There are no bad reports on this company so I was thinking that maybe I had found a nice cheap carrier. Oh well. I'm moving from NJ to CA at the end of Dec and am planning on using US Express Moving Systems, Inc. I looked them up on the BBB and found some complaints but most were resolved and they had a satisfactory rating. The website says they have a fleet but not sure how to confirm this. I am only moving about a studios worth (minus the major furniture of bed, dresser, nightstand, sofa). So all total it is a small move (about 1300 pounds) but too large to ship. US Express gave me a binding quote based on an inventory list. I couldn't find anything recent about them on the posts and was wondering if anyone had an negative experiences with them. Best Movers in the Tri-State :) 11/15/2011

I used US Express for my move & I was very happy with the service they provided me. They were upfront with their services & costs, etc. They weren't the cheapest price but it was very well worth every penny spent. The movers were on time, professional, & my price did not change with them. I would definetly use them again & refer all my friends & family if they are ever in need for a move. Thanks again!! more

They will take your money, not call you back, my shipment was delayed for weeks, leaving us in an empty house with nothing. When our stuff arrived, many of my furniture articles were dirty, broken and I am undoubtedly missing things. They are the absolute worst. I have moved 10 times and never had an experience like this. Please, please, save yourself the stress and money, they are terrible, no matter what they say to hook your business dont!!!. more

I would like to sincerely thank US Express Moving. I dread moving. Simply, I have never had a good experience with movers. This was true until I moved with US Express Moving. From the beginning things were different. You were on time, professional, friendly and accurate. My items were packed securely and then treated with respect despite being smothered in heavy blankets and boxing. The team had to make two stops to pick up my belongings and still beat me back to Manhattan from the first stop. The move was completed on time and all items were securely reassembled and placed. The team was exceptionally professional and fit. I have found most movers to complain all day about the estimate provided by headquarters as if it were my fault. This never occurred. At one point I apologetically asked for the piano to be moved a few inches for better centering. The response was, "good enough is not acceptable, only perfection is." I comfortably relaxed with my family in the new apartment that evening rather than having to relieve my frustration. I regret that I tried to save $200 one year earlier by selecting another company over US Express Moving; the damage far exceeded this amount. Thank you. I am happy to recommend US Express Moving to anybody, and I will. more

When the movers showed up, the exceptional service continued. They must have a really great training program at US Express moving systems. Those guys really knew their stuff. They packed so quickly I could not believe how organized it all was. I could have never done my own packing that fast or have done such a meticulous job. When they were done unloading at my new house they took the time to ask if I needed anything else. They did not rush off like they were in a hurry to get out. It is so hard to find people with such high standards and who take so much pride in their work, but US Express moving systems seems to have them all. I did not even mind unpacking because I was in such a good mood. I smiled all afternoon because my move was so free of hassles. I am going to tell everyone how great US Express moving systems is. I have no problem recommending them to anyone who is moving. I will definitely be using US Express moving systems for my next move. No other company can rival the service provided by these movers. more

Never Again! 10/11/2010

We used US Express Moving based on a friend's recommendation. This was a two bedroom apartment move, 1 flight up stairs and the move was less than 1 mile away. We were quoted $545 for a 2 bedroom apartment, but actually 1 of the bedrooms was nearly empty aside from a few boxes and small items. They gave us the quote over the phone and stated that typically a two bedroom job with 3 movers would take about 4 hrs. So we were surprised that after 4 hrs, they were still loading items onto the truck. Mind you we had already boxed everything aside from furniture so all they had to do was move it. At 4 1/2 hrs, the foreman stated this job would be more money and gave a new quote of $1200, stating the job might take another 5 hrs to arrive at the apartment and complete the unloading. At this point they had finally loaded the truck and requested to go to a McDonalds for diner, even though the move was only 1 mile away. What should have been a 10 min drive at most, turned into a 45 min waste of time that we had to pay for because they refused to go off the clock. Once they reached our new apartment they slowly began to unload the truck. My husband was now with us and stepped in unloading boxes and furniture to speed up the process. During this time my husband was moving the boxes up almost at the same pace as the 3 movers combined and even noticed them hitting on women walking by outside our apartment instead of moving boxes. Not only did my husband step in, I started to unwrap the furniture from the blankets and tape they wrapped them in. What took 5 1/2 to load only took 2 hrs to unload with the help of myself and husband. This included us having to fold the fifty or so blankets they used to wrap our furniture in. At the end, the final price was $1076 for the job ($96 of it was just for packaging tape), although me and my husband spent the last 2 hrs working much harder than the crew. Being displeased we filed a complaint where US Express Moving accepted none of the blame and offered us a $50 refund as a settlement for our silence. We turned this down and received a second offer of $75 and this time they included a threat of legal action against us. Needless to say we turned this down as well and are now writing this review of their horrible service and even worse customer service. We would not recommend US Express Moving to anyone. more

The man who set up our move was so professional both on the phone and through email. He seemed like he really enjoyed his job. He was not faking being nice. He was not your average pushy sales man. All I can say is that US Express moving systems hires the best there is. He never kept us on the phone endlessly with questions and he always got it right the first time. We had hired another moving company who was giving us the run around a day before the move and Us Express Moving System Inc was able to provide us the service within a day. Raul and the guys showed up and did a fantastic job. They were fast and very professional. There wasn't a single scrtch on any piece of furniture or the house. Its very rare that service like that is provided nowadays and I felt that it was important to thank your company and especially give credit to the guys.
