Awesome Recruiters! 8/12/2011

Powers Army Recruiting Station has helped me to become what I always wanted to be... a soldier in the greatest nation in the world. It started with a phone call and I told my recruiter what I was interested in and he helped me find what I was looking for. I talked with an Air Force recruiter and he was nice and friendly to me. He wanted me to come into the station and talk and I told him I would like to do that. I also wanted to be a warrior and a member of a team which I didn't feel the Air force could provide, so I decided the Army was the only way to go. I took advantage of the Future Soldier Training Program that was available to me at Powers. The physical training and the classes really facilitated my transition into a soldier. When I arrived at my basic training I really was proud. I was one of few that actually had the opportunity to get promoted and prepare physically before hand. Without the FSTP at Powers I don't think that I would have had the motivation to ready myself for the rigors ahead. I think it is great that the army provides college scholarships and I plan on using my benefits to better my life. I enjoyed my experience at Powers and I would recommend it to anyone looking into the Military regardless if they are looking at the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines (USMC), or even the Coast Guard. more

Awesome Recruiters! 7/18/2011

The greatest choice I've made! As a female, joining the Army seemed like a difficult task. The Army recruiting stations and other branches of the military I called just seemed to make everything sound so complex. Finally I called the Powers Army recruiting station in Colorado Springs and my recruiter knew every step that needed to be taken and made every task direct and simple. As a Future Soldier they also helped me prepare for army life by enrolling me in a physical fitness program with LifeQuest Transitions so I could get physically fit before I went to training. During that program they taught us some of the physical demands that the military expected of us as well as some of the mental ones. My goal was to become the best active duty soldier I could be so I attended every session possible and it really paid off. My college gave me rank but my recruiter helped create me into an American soldier. So whether you are looking to go Army, Navy Air force, Marines, Reserve, National Guard or Coast Guard, talk to the guys at Powers recruiting office first. You might find what they have to say more appealing. They are clearly professionals and I highly recommend them! more

Best decision of my life! 6/9/2011

Seriously! I joined the Army for a better future for myself and to prepare for a family later on in life and to live the same life as my father who was a Petroleum Supply Specialist, the same job I chose, and grandfather who was Military Police. Once I came into Powers Army Recruiting station I saw how the Recruiters treated everyone with respect and gave the proper information they needed to make the right decision. I think the branch of service I picked is better the others like the Air Force, Navy, USMC, Coast Guard. I heard a few different people talk about how they went to different branches and their decisions felt harder than ever, and they even told me that they didn't have the chance to pick their own MOS....the other branches picked it for them!....With the Army the choice was all mine. So once I heard that I knew I was dealing with a good group of Sergeants who are very knowledgeable about the Army and the things the Army has to offer as far as college scholarships, sports, etc. Even though my original recruiter is no longer at this station I recommend whoever is planning on joining the military to come to Colorado Springs to the Powers Army Recruiting Station located at 1580 Space Center Dr. Just to see what I am saying, go to their office at 4:00 and participate in their future soldiers workout at LifeQuest and get a little taste of how the Army and the people getting ready to ship out to basic get in shape. All it cost is a little sweat and hard work! I did and am glad I made the decision to come to the Army and particularly through this office. more

I'm glad I came to this office! 6/9/2011

While being senior at palmer high I was doing my research on military branches like the Air Force and Navy and went to see recruiters in both branches. I wanted to join either the Navy or the Air Force, but was not treated well during my visits with them. At the Navy, they were trying to force me into a job that I did not want and at the Air Force, my recruiter was actually trying to enlist into the Army and passed me off to someone else. I took his admission about wanting to be a Soldier as a sign I should check out the Army. I mean really if their own recruiters are trying to join another service, there has got to be something to it! I went to the Army office on Powers in Colorado Springs and the Recruiters were straight forward and honest about everything. I especially liked how the Army’s job selection process worked. Unlike the other branches to include the Marines and Coast Guard, I was able to reserve the job I wanted before going all the way to Denver MEPS and being pressured into a job they wanted me to take. (Which was the exact sales practices that the Navy tried doing to me)! After enlisting the Powers Recruiting Station has this great training program that got me ready for Basic Training. They hooked up with a non-profit company called LifeQuest that developed an individual training program for me that helped me get physically fit before going to Basic. It most definitely helped me a lot when I went to training and saw everyone else around me struggling to get in shape…I was already there. Now that I have graduated training, I am ready to use my college scholarship they gave me to go to school. Going to the Army and the recruiters at the Powers Office was the best decision I could have made. more

Best recruiting station around 5/17/2011

The Best Recruiting Station that i had the pleasure of going through. I came in with many concerns and questions and all of the recruiters were very knowlagable, honest and helpful. I had tried to contact the Airforce, to have some of my questions answered, and they were very rude and told me that it would be a year wait to start my training. As soon as that phone call was done, i had known that the USAF was not for me. I have some friends and family that are in the Navy and Marines, and after hearing all of their stories about the process to get in, I didn't even want to bother with either one of them. So i decided to come into the Army recruiting station, where i was met by the friendliest recruiters, they took care of all my concerns and helped me pick a job that properly suited me, instead of just getting me to sign up whether i thought i would enjoy the job or not. The recruiters also stay in touch after you enlist up to the day that you leave to make sure that you are taken care of in every aspect that they can help in. They have a one of a kind training program, that is like no other excercise program I have ever done, that gets you physically fit and prepares you for basic training. Even after I left to begin my training, the recruiters were very helpful with my wife, and any question or problem that she may of had. If I had to do it all again i would definetly come here knowing that i was in good hands.\r more

Best recruiters in the Springs! 4/29/2011

To start off by saying, I personally really didnt know what I was going to do after I finished high school let alone think about the Military. Until I was brought to the Powers Army Recruiting Station march of last year. After doing so, I gained a new respect for the Army as well as for the guys who helped push me and guided me in the right direction. So, with that said, I would like to say that I recommend the Powers Recruiting Station to anyone who is ready to start a new life and give back to thier country. Also in conclusion, I would like to thank everyone back at the Recruiting station for doing such a outstanding job on making sure I was ready to make my choice. Also, I'd like to say that sometimes recruiters have a stereotype that implies they lie to get people in the military. That was not the case with this Recruiting Office. They were honest and straight forward with me about everything. more

Answering your calls/questions/concerns! 3/18/2011

I highly recommend this office! Working two jobs, balancing a family with 4 kids was not providing the quality of life that I wanted for my family. I had called other recruiting stations to get information, but this office was quick to follow up and begin to answer the many questions I had. At 35, I was far from the ideal weight I needed to be at. This recruiting station provided a physical fitness program, an outlet to prepare me for Basic Training. They are great at follow up and here you are more than a number. Weekly I would have questions/concerns and always my recruiter would return my calls/texts with accurate/honest answers. When it came time to find a job that I would be happy with, both SFC Almodovar & SFC Gloss worked together to find my job which I just returned from my training on. Here I am a proud Hispanic, mother of 4, wife & SOLDIER/ DENTAL SPECIALIST. more

Best Recruiters in the Springs! 3/14/2011

Recommend this office over others! When I arrived at the Army recuriting station on Powers Blvd they gave me all the sources I needed to start my career. The station also prepared me for what I needed to know before getting into basic and my ait training they covered all information needed from traveling, benefits given, and schooling. These guys also had people come talk to us who had just been through training. They were able to give us a real idea of what training was like. They also prepared us with physical training to be mentally tough and ready. If you are looking into the Military, I recommend this recruiting station. It is the best that I know of, because of what they were able to offer me, and willing to help me in what I needed to know in starting a career. more

I looked into all the branches of the military and spoke with several recruiters from many different stations in each branch. I chose to enlist with the army mainly because of the staff here at this recruiting station. They are friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. The main thing that set this recruiting station apart from all the others is the recruiters here aren't just trying to fill a quota at the end of each month. They legitimately care about getting you started down the right road on your Army career. They ensure you will get the job you want and prepare you for military life before you go to basic. When I arrived at basic I was already ahead of the curve because of the future soldier training I got here. Not only do the staff care about setting you up for success they are also honest. Honesty is one thing I found other recruiting stations were lacking. It seemed they would tell you anything just to get you to sign on the dotted line. Not here. Whether the news be good or bad you can plan on getting it straight from the recruiters here so you aren't going to be walking into anything blindfolded. I would recommend this recruiting station to anyone looking to start an Army career. You can't go wrong with this station. more

Awesome Recruiters!!! They will take care of you! 3/10/2011

This recruting station helped me out a lot especially with physical fitness. They also took the time out to help me find the job I wanted to do in the Army. They are very friendly and will anwser any question you ask them. The PT program here is great and fun it helped me prepare for the PT I had to do in basic training, so thank you very much for the help. I highly recommend coming to the Powers Army Recruiting Station because they will help you find the job you want to do, answer any questions you have and prepare you for you first training, they are also friendly so go ahead and stop by you won't regreat it. more

Best Recruiting Office in Colorado Springs! 3/9/2011

When I first thought about joining the Army, I had no idea where to even begin. My now wife and I talked about me joining, and she thought it was a good decision. Before joining, my life you could say really was nothing. I was attending College America for an associates in graphic arts and I knew I really wasn't going to go anywhere with that. I also didn't have a HS diploma, only my GED. So one day I came into the Powers Army office with hopes of joining the Army. At first I thought it would be a really quick procedure and I would be leaving for basic within days. I then learned that there was actually a procedure to it. I'm glad that I didn't leave as fast as I had thought because I was not in tip top shape prior to leaving. Luckily, Powers Army office took me to a place called LifeQuest that helps train Future Soldiers. My first day at LifeQuest made me realize how out of shape I truly was. If I didn't have the opportunity to attend LifeQuest and also the future soldier events with Powers Army office, then I think basic training would have been a much greater challenge for me. LifeQuest and the Recruiters at Powers got me into good shape and helped me prepare for what was to come. I think that every recruiting office should have these kinds of programs for future soldiers. Whether you want Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard, Check these guys out first. Best Recruiting office in town! more
