Urban Onion Restaurant-Lounge

Ordered ""prawns"" got medium shrimp. Mike states that they only have prawns no shrimp in restaurant, but there in print is ""shrimp"" on menu. Trying to get a resolution for a week and finally got lectured about seafood. I know the difference between a prawn and a shrimp. He was not interested in resolving customer complaint. They had no problem overloading the dish wish cheap white pasta and mushrooms but it was a treasure hunt to find any smoked salmon or ""shrimp/prawns."" Husband's fries were not enough to fill him up. My salad was maybe 4 bites. There are way to many better restaurants to choose from. Might I suggest Indian Cuisine, Mekong Thai, Red Lobster etc. If it wasn't for the political folks eating on the states tab, you would most certainly be out of business. The most unprofessional management and service I've dealt with in my years of dining. Just to touch on the inconvenience I dealt with, I ordered a burger and asked for medium rare; I got a charred, juiceless hunk of jerky. The waitress, being unprofessional and very unsympathetic, said I could have $1 off. Once I was finally awarded and audience with the manager, I persisted that I should not have to pay for the burger, he then threatened to call the police!! Whoa! The food and coffee smell delicious from the moment you walk in. The Urban Onion has long been a favorite eatery of mine and I am delighted to see it posted on the web. My favorites are The Urban Onion Special and Mexican Chicken. My husband likes the vareity of vegetarian specials and the desserts. Pros: delicious food! more
