Wow after reading these reviews I will be sure to take my money elsewhere.. Theres no way I would put up with that.thanks for all of those who wrote reviews. You really saved me a headache more

DO NOT MOVE HERE! I lived here for two years one of my roommates was a crackhead gang member and the other got beat on by her boyfriend. My bed has been broken the entire time and our internet stopped working months ago. They will take your money and fuck you over! QUICK to put you out and slow to fix your problems. Dont move in UG 1 Or 2 it ain't worth it. more

Words cannot begin to describe the horrors of university gardens.! They are complete crooks. The staff is all smiles til you sign the lease. My bathtub has been broke since i moved in and i have sent several and i mean several requests to get i fixed and still nothing. And thats not the only thing that’s broke but i at least want to take a comfortable shower that’s all i asked for. They steal your rent if you do keep an eye on it. And why in the HELL are me and my roommates paying 140 dollars for water alone??????? Where is this water coming from???? I seriously don’t have t time to continue the complaints I’m a collage stent and shouldn’t have to worry about crap like this. And the higher you go up in management the more corrupted they get. Do yourself a favor and don’t i repeat do not stay here you will regret it. I usually don’t leave review because I work and go to school so o don’t ha the time but this is the only way to get my voice heard because the property manager “doesn’t want to hear it (his exact words)”. THE PRICE AT UG IS GOOD BUT THEN U SEE Y ALL THE STAFF HAVE ATTITUDES ALL THE TIME THEY DONT WANT TO DO NOTHING ABOUT THE WORK ORDERS AND WHEN U STAY ON THEY BUTT TO DO EM IT TAKES THEM EVEN LONGER BUT THEY EXPECT FOR YOU TO PAY UR RENT ON TIME OR U WILL GET A NOTICE. I THOUGHT THEY DID ROMMATE MATCHING BOY WAS I WORNG I DID NOT WANT ANYONE UNDER 21 IN MY APARTMENT WHAT HAPPENED THEY WERE 19 AND 20 AND I WAS AT TOTAL DISASTER TO SAY THE LEAST. AND ANOTHER THING BEFORE U MOVE IN OR WHATEVER THE CASE IS U SHOULD DO THE WALK AROUND AND MAKE SURE THERE IS NO MOLD AND NO DAMAGE BECAUSE TRUAT ME U WILL FIND IT WITHOUT A DOUBT AND GETTING IT FIXED OR RELPACED WILL BE A PROBLEM . I had two friends who stayed here. University Gardens is known for their horrible management and placing their tenants at high risk. My friend moved there and in less than 3 months, he was completely robbed while in class. They took everythingggg. And the complex didn't do much to help him. My other friend had to move back home because of an irreconcilable roommate dispute that management ignored to investigate. Skip all the headaches and don't move there. All of this is my opinion. more

I wish I could give this no stars. Where do I start? I requested a private entry on the second floor with roommates that were grad students. I got a non-private entry on the third floor with two roommates, neither of whom were students and one had two children both under the age of 7. On move in day I had to wait an extra hour from the time they originally told me because they had not cleaned my apartment or made copies of the keys. When I arrived, the tile was broken in the front entry, the air filter had not been changed for months and there was a leak, the ceiling fans in the living room had visible dirt on all the blades, the dishwasher was not mounted, two of the main lights in the living room were burnt out, and the smoke detector was out of batteries and beeping. I came to find out later that the smoke alarm (on top of a vaulted ceiling, so the residents couldn't even reach it to change it ourselves) had been beeping for over a month. After going into the office several times a day for three consecutive days they finally fixed the smoke alarm and the air filter leak. I had to call the police twice while living here, once for a noise complaint on my neighbors who decided to listen to music loud enough to make the walls shake at 2:30am and once because my roommate and I heard a noise that resembled a gun shot. One of my roommates would not pay for her portion of the electric bill so I paid for her portion so it did not effect my credit or accrue late fees and the complex did not help with the matter, despite what they said originally when signing the lease. DO NOT LIVE HERE! DO NOT LET ANYONE LIVE HERE! more

Can I give it a negative 5 rating? This place is trash! Pure trash. Management is nothing short of a joke. All they care about is profit, not the tenants. Want to get a work order filled in a timely manner? GOOD LUCK! I would rather live in my car than to ever live there again. It's really ghetto too. I doubt this place runs background checks on the people they allow to reside here. Please do yourself a favor and find somewhere else safe to stay. more

I only picked 1 star because I couldn't go any lower. I lived here for two years, and if I could rewind the hands of time I definitely would. The new managaement is trash, They leave early and are slow on resolving any issues that you have. Everyone in the office seems slow, and they never know anything about what's going on. Oh BUT THEY'RE QUICK TO CHARGE YOU FINES FOR ANYTHING THEY CAN. Rent not in by 10:00am 50 DOLLARS. Left your garbage outside overnight 50 DOLLARS. The list goes on. It's loud and most of the tenants smoke. Trust me you can find a better place to stay. And they call themselves tighening safety issues with security guards who harrass residents and let anyone in. They say they're not pet freindly but so many times I have to tip toe down the stairs to keep from stepping in dog poop. The only reliable people are the maintenance men. SO PLEASE LISTEN WHEN I SAY, DON'T DO IT. more

These are relatively good apartments and well kept up but beware there is a lot of noise at all hours of the night and the pool and recreation are can get a little crowded. Definitely a party hangout and parking is a crazy. Dont park anywhere that you are not supposed to be they will tow you in a heartbeat. more
