This credit union uses the same preditory practices to ensure they get the most overdraft fees possible out of you as big banks. The process items large to small to ensure they make the most profit on overdrafts. On a thursday night I had 5 small items pending on my account that totalled just under $35.00. The credit union took the amounts out of my available balance and I still had $137.00 positive balance. Friday morning my insurance payment was electronically submitted with Fridays date. They posted it first then the other 5 items so they could charge me for 6 $25.00 overdraft fees. Had they posted it in the order received I would have had one overdraft fee for the insurance payment. I went back through my statements and they have charged me almost $2,000.00 this year in preditory overdraft fees. It is their standard policy to post items largest to smallest. When I contacted them about it they said they only refund one overdraft fee a year. They were very curt and unsympathetic. DO NOT SWITCH TO U OF U CREDIT UNIOIN.
