Universal Rug & Carpets

I ordered carpet from Nikki with the understanding that I was under a tight schedule due to other construction going on in my house. Nikki assured me that I would be measured on Monday and installed Tuesday or Wednesday. Having heard nothing, I called them Wed morning to see what was going on. There was only one person to speak to that day who barely spoke english. He told me Nikki was not in that day and nothing could be done for me. I insisted that he find out about my installation and he did call me back and in a most rude manner let me know that since Nikki never called me back to get a deposit from me, the carpet was not ordered. I gave him my payment and my carpet was installed Friday. This was a considerable problem since I had an entire crew of workers that I had to pay for 2 days while we waited for this carpet to be installed. I left voice mails and 2 emails for Nikki during this time and neither she nor anyone else from this company had the decency to even respond. These people have NO people skills and do not conduct themselves in a professional manner. more

Had Carpet ordered from LA Carpet and was to be put in on the 28th of Dec. Called to confirmed and found out our paper work was lost and now we must wait another week! I called some other carpet places for quotes and called Universal carpet online and the sales person gave me a number to call for San Clemente.. It was LA Carpets phone number. I asked here why do you have 2 different names and different ads?? She had no answer.. So the search is on for a Carpet place today so I can have the carpet put in this week during vacation. more

Repeatedly did not show up to scheduled jobs. Poor quality of product. When tried to call customer service to resolve issue, they were unwilling to hear our complaint and argued with us over issue.
