Summer in Manhattan- not without the Union Green market 2/10/2011

There's something for everyone here. Plan to carry a lot of heavy bags home ( bring a friend to help - it 's more fun with a friend ) They sell everything from fresh fruit and veggies from the nearby farms- to fresh flowers, home made cheese, fresh baked bread, lot's of organics and grass fed meat. My daughter loves the fresh pressed cider and they always have samples of something to give away. I go several times every summer - it' s our tradition. more

Union Square has stepped up lately to become a lively summer park, and this is one of the things that gives it character. The flowers, produce and homemade edibles definitely draw you in, even if you thought you were just passing by. more
