My first impression was that the building looked a bit old, but the lobby looked alright, and they had a nice little bar. After that, it was all downhill! The rooms are ugly, an...

Convenient 12/30/2010

we called after midnight to find someplace that would deliver food to the hotel, and they were more than helpful. The rooms are standard looking and ours was clean. We were about a 15 minute walk from all the bars, restaurants and shopping. ASU is right across the road. The shuttle to and from the airport was conveinent and very nice. I would stay here again more

Amazed 12/23/2010

I stayed at the Twin Palms in Tempe for business one night! My flight was in at 9:00 am and they were kind enough to let me check in early due to meeting starting at 11;30. They answer the phone like they love theie job,and whenever I needed anything fronnt desk was quick to help. The shuttle picked me up as well as took me around. They even started calling me by my first name which built great rapport with me. My room was clean, and had a nice view. I would stay there everytime I need to visit Tempe.. I am amazed at the service there. more

Extremely nice 12/17/2010

I have been a guest at the Twin Palms for five years with my most recent trip in November of 2010. My stay at the hotel was wonderful! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. My room is always clean and the environment was great for our young child. The location to ASU and Tempe events was very convenient. Twin Palms will continue to be my top choice in Tempe! more

location location location 11/8/2010

The reason for our visit was the Theater @ Gammage. We literally walked right out the hotel to a crosswalk leading to the theater. Hotel staff was super nice. Great little bar in the lobby. There is a 24 hour restaurant connected to hotel. A short walk to Mill Ave. where there are lots of shops, bars, restaurants and movie theater. It is an older hotel but for me it's all about location, location, location. Loved that I could take a cocktail to my room and the convenience of the restaurant. Returning in January for another play, will definately be staying here again. more

Great location 11/1/2010

I got stranded in Phoenix and this was my choice. Location is great and the Ihop downstairs it's a big plus. The only thing I didn't like was the bed so for one night is great but not for more days more

thank you thank you 10/26/2010

Thank you, and thank you for such a wonderful service. This service saved me a great deal of time. I will be using it again in the future as we are thinking about a couples retreat sometime next year more

especially helpful 10/19/2010

I'm suprised at some of the other reviews I have read about this place. When compared to other hotels in the area you can't beat the Twin Palms. I make frequent business trips to Tempe and have stayed at the Holiday Inn, Best Western, Quality Inn, etc, and prefer the Twin Palms over all of them. It's less expensive and I think the rooms are larger and nicer than what I've paid more for at other hotels. The last time I stayed there was in September and I had a room with a gorgeous view. Plus in my experience the service has been overall very good. Aside from the front desk person who was not exactly vivacious (anyone can have a bad night) the staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. A gentleman in maintenance who's name I unfortunately forgot was especially helpful with transportation for me when I needed it. I always enjoy my stay here and will continue to come back to Twin Palms. more

they are so good. 9/7/2010

I don't understand. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have never had a negative experience at all. Rooms are clean. Staff is awesome, Shuttle service is exceptional. I was able to sit on the balcony in the morning and the evening and enjoy the whether. It was great. Walking distance to downtown Tempe. I have a son at ASU and I plan on staying at this property every time I can. I have never had a problem with bugs or making long distance calls. Just a warning tho. They are sold out a lot because they are so good. more

Twin Palms is more like a home than a hotel 8/10/2010

The first thing I noticed was the diversity of guests. College students to elderly couples. I stayed there to be close to Frank LLoyd Wright designed "Grady Gammage Auditorium (on ASU Campus) to see the Broadway production of "Annie." The next thing I noticed is the "birds." The hotel is home to several exotic parrots that are in the cages in the lobby. The staff was exceptionally friendly, sort of down home. The place is clean. The rooms are fine. The bar is affordable. Lastly, I learned every type of restaurant and nightclub is within walking distance......definitely a great location for nightlife. The hotel van picked me up at the airport. No charge. I recommend this moderately priced hotel without reservation. more

Nice older hotel 7/23/2010

Nice hotel, definitely older, but had everything I needed. I had a balcony off of my room, which was a nice way to be outside, but stay in the shade out of that scorching AZ sun. Right across from ASU and hotel guests have free use of the student rec center (2 blocks away), which is huge, and has a lot of equipment - the hotel itself doesn't have a fitness center. There's a great little bar in the lobby, and the bartender, Brian??? is really nice and makes a yummy bloody mary! There's also a nice pool in the back, and the hotel is attached to a 24-hr IHOP which will deliver to your room late. The staff were great, everyone was extremely nice during our stay. more
